    Nikki finds Helen, and Tina accepts an unexpected invitation.

     

    The couple made a slow retreat to the bedroom, as evidenced by the trail of clothing left in their wake.

    Tina could hear the buzz on her blackberry. She looked down to check the email. “Dinner tonight? B”

     

    That was interesting. She looked at the time and figured it was close to when Bette should be feeding Angelica. This could be interesting. After a day of talking about children, she couldn’t help but think of Bette.

     

    Not that it took thoughts of their daughter to think of Bette. Most anything these days would cause Tina to think of Bette. Even today’s attempt at distraction – at this point she was wondering what the hell she was thinking kissing that woman. But there was something about the other woman, despite the different outward appearance, there was a strength, an assertiveness that, like many other women, reminded her of Bette.

     

    Intrigued, yet trying to not be hopeful, Tina shot back a quick “yes,” and pointed the car in the direction of the house.

    Still not comfortable with the protocol, Tina knocked on the door. She heard from inside Angelica’s fast padding towards the door, followed by a slower, more deliberate step.

     

    “Hello.” Bette. Always calm, collected.

     

    Angelica, meanwhile, had wrapped herself around Tina’s legs. “Mommy mommy mommy!”

     

    Tina looked down at her daughter and raised an eyebrow, sharing and amused look with Bette. “I guess I’m on the good list today.”

     

    “You weren’t the one that had to tell her she had to come in from swimming.”

     

    “I guess not.” With that Tina lifted the girl up into her arms and gave her a kiss. “Were you a good girl for Momma B today?”

     

    “No.” Angelica’s reply was delivered with a giggle, and she pushed herself to be free. Tina put her down and she padded back towards the kitchen.

     

    “She’s honest, at least,” Tina said, stepping in, closing the door behind her.

     

    She looked up and Bette was still before her, standing quite close. Tina felt the door behind her, and wondered exactly what was up with her ex-partner.

     

    “And you, Tina,” Bette leaned closer. “Were you a good girl today?”

     

    Unwilling to let Bette dictate the rules, Tina just said plainly, “No.” With that, Tina scooted past a very surprised-looking woman, letting their bodies lightly brush each other. She headed off, tracing Angelica’s path.

     

    For good measure, Tina walked slowly and deliberately, adding a little sass to her hips with each step. Take that, Bette Porter, she thought. Look at what’s not yours.

    1. I haven’t had time to go back and read from the beginning yet, but I will. Liked the bit of sass at the end. More when you can posit it we’ll read it.

    2. Ooh, upping the stakes, are we, Tina? The “Look at what’s not yours” is an unspoken challenge that I hope Bette takes Tina up on… and soon. The talk between Helen and Nikki was very nice indeed. Please post more, and I hope you find reason to remove that question mark. I’m really enjoying the story, so carry on as you can please.     5. great to read another quick update. Just re-read from chapter 1(couldnt remember why helen/nikki were even in america!)-its progressing well-am intrigued with where you are going with this- i.e will anything happen between bette/helen nikki/tina

    6. I’m nobody’s enabler, missy, so I’m just going to ignore the question mark. As I see it, it’s simply a bold, straight forward “TBC!”. You know, I’d stopped watching Bad Girls after Nikki made her escape to share a night of passion with Helen. I found it idiotic and insufferable (I don’t see Nikki as an idiot), but with your return with this (and that reunion I saw on Youtube) I think I’ll keep an eye open for episodes I haven’t seen. And no question marks, I await new episodes from you as well.

    9. loving this story,i just started watching BAD GIRLS last year and just love NIKKI AND HELEN to bad their not on the show no longer,also love BETTE AND TINA and putting these two couples togather it’s awesome. PPS
