    tina and bette: Friday night

    Tina: Bette? Do you mind telling me what happened to Jennas parents? Tina was curious. She wanted to know how Bette got so lucky to have this little girl in her life.

    Bette: Of course T Bette gathered her thoughts and then started. Denise and Richard were very close friends of mine. They helped me move on after Bette looked up at Tina and then back down at her wine glass after the divorce. We would always do things together and when Denise told me she was pregnant I was so ecstatic. They had been trying to conceive for a while but nothing would ever take. I helped her get through it and then Jenna was finally born and they asked me if I would be her god mother. The moment I saw her I knew that I would be honored to play such a role in this childs lifeso I accepted their offer. Then just a couple of months ago, Denise and Richard were on a flight to Las Vegas for business and the plane crashed. Bettes eyes began to water and tears started streaming down her face. She had never truly grieved for her friends and it was nice to have someone there to listen to her.

    Tina: Oh Bette. Come here. Tina held Bette close consoling her, rubbing her fingers through her hair and gently rubbing her shoulders.

    Bette: Bette wiped her tears away and pulled her body from Tina. After a week had gone by I got a call from Denises lawyer. I had to meet with him to go over some legal issues. I signed some documents and thats how I became Jennas sole guardian.

    Tina: Wow Bette. They mustve trusted and loved you so much for them to want you to take care of their child. Tina smiled at Bette and Bette smiled back. You are such an amazing woman to take on such a request. Tina looked deep in Bettes eyes and felt her heart started to pound. Dont rush things Tinathis is not the right time. She looked back down at her wine glass and Bette continued to talk.
