its hard to say goodbye (7)…
Bette: Ohrightyeahof course, come in. They hugged and kissed each other on the cheek. Tina smelled the take out and smiled, remembering how it use to be so many years ago. I hope you dont mindI got ChineseI didnt know if you still liked it, I just remember how we always use to Bette trailed off and almost started to tear up talking about the past.
Tina: No, thats great. Its not my favorite anymore but I still love it. I guess we both have changed a little huh? Tina laughed nervously at herself.
Bette: Well, thats what happens over time. Bette looked at Tina. But I am excited about learning the new things about youand am hoping to still see the old you. Bette smiled That is, if you dont mind of course.
Tina: Of course I dont mind. I feel the same way. They stood there awkwardly for a few seconds and then Bette broke the silence.
Bette: Well how about we eat. I know Jenna must be starving.
Tina: Yeah, that sounds greatI am pretty hungry myself. Tina and Bette walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table. They ate, drank and exchanged small talk. Bette didnt want to get into a serious, deep conversation with Jenna at the table, so she decided to leave that talk for when she was asleep. Tina was anxious to know about Bette but she didnt want to push anything. She knew that Bette would tell her in due time.
Bette: Looking over at Jenna who was rubbing her eyes. Okay kiddotime for bedsay goodnight to Ms. T Jenna went over and gave Tina a hug. Then Bette scooped her up and brought her in her room. Tina cleared the table and cleaned up. How was it that she felt so at home here? She looked around the kitchen and then decided to see what was taking Bette so long. Tina went to Jennas room and her heart sank. Bette was laying on the bed, with Jenna, reading to her. Tina just wished she could stay like this forever She is the most amazing person I have ever known. Bette looked up and saw Tina standing there. She closed the book, gently got off the bed and left the door ajar behind her. Her mom always use to read her that bookso I read it to her every now and thento help her remember. They both walked into the living room and Bette poured them both a glass of wine.
