    tina and bette: Friday night

    Previously…

    Tina: I should go Bette. Tina got up and Bette reluctantly opened the door for her. I had fun today. Tina smiled.

    Bette: I had fun too. Ill see you on Friday right?

    Tina: Right. Friday. Tina embraced Bette, neither of them wanting to part.

    Bette: Bette pulled away gently and gave Tina a soft, sweet kiss on the lips. Friday. Tina smiled and began to walk down the hallway. Bette kept her door open until she couldnt see Tina any longer. She walked back to Jenna and picked her up. Come on Jennalets get you to bed.

    The next day passed quickly and before Tina and Bette realized it was already Friday. Alice left that morning, making it a point to say goodbye to her two dear friends, knowing that she would be back sooner then anyone would have expected. Those two never could stay apart. Alice thought to herself. She left New York knowing that those two would eventually end up togetherand she knew that it would happen soon.

    Tina was excited about her date with Bette that night. She was curious to hear the story about how she ended up with Jenna and wanted to know what had been happening to her these last five years they were apart. Tina had always thought of calling Bette up, but she figured it had been too long for that. She was afraid that Bette felt too rejected and that she moved from LA to start a new life away from Tina. She had been so hurt by the affair that she didnt realize she was hurting herself more than Bette. It took her over a year to figure out that she wanted to be with Bette but by then it was too late.

    Just before class ended, Tina scribbled something down on a piece of paper, folded it up and called Jenna up to her desk. Jenna, do you think you can give this to your Auntie Bette for me? Jenna looked at Tina and nodded. She thought she was in trouble but Tina reassured her that it had nothing to do about her. Jenna took the note, waved goodbye to her teacher and walked outside to an awaiting Bette. As soon as Jenna saw her, she smiled and hugged her tight, she held up the note to Bette and Bette took it wondering what was inside. She read the note quickly, Looking forward to tonight –T Bette smiled. Tina could do the littlest things that would make Bette go crazy. She looked down at Jenna, smiled and they both started to walk to the apartment, hand in hand.
