“I’m not even sure about that either. It’s like she captured a piece of me without even trying. I don’t even think she knows it. I had a hard time working yesterday because my mind kept go back to the very short conversation she and I held and all the glances I caught her giving me Friday night.”
“So she didn’t even verbally flirt with you?”
“No”
“Other than looking at you off and on you have nothing else to go on?
“No”
“And you think you stand a chance with this one?
“Yes, Alice I do” Bette says quietly, she didn’t want to hurt Alice by letting her know that the stares that night shared between the two were equal and intense and spoke volumes to Bette’s heart.
“Well I give it to you Porter, you’ve got balls my dear. If that’s want you want go for it. But you know that you are up for some shit dealing with a straight girl. You know somebody who isn‘t out, who may not what to come out. And what if she has one of those psycho families. You know that crap happens all the time. It happened to me one of my ex girlfriend’s brother. Her brother went off on me. I made it out okay. It’s a good thing that I carry mace and a taser. And by the way that’s why she’s my ex. Not the thing with her brother. I accidentally stunned her one night. She’s had a facial tick ever since. She couldn’t forgive me for it. She said I maimed her for life. I offered to pay for the botox injections. But she refused. ” says looking innocent.
Bette’s jaw drops open “Ok…..Alice. Wow”
“I’m just saying shit happens Bette. Are you ready for it to hit the fans of you little organized life? You do know that you‘re completely anal right?”
“What!”
“Since we’re just friends now, I feel I can be completely honest.”
“So sure far you haven’t been?” Looks a Alice with amazement.
“Well yeah I have been. I’ve just been holding back.”
“Holding back! Alice that’s hard to believe. In the almost six weeks we were together I never once sense you hold your tongue on anything concerning me. If I correctly recall I repeatedly had to ask you to be quiet and a few times asked you to please shut the hell up”

I must say Alice is taking this way better than I would if Bette broke up with me. Actually, I had a hard time picturing the two of them as lovers in the show…friends yes…lovers no. Have a great time in Chicago…JB’s home town…and have a Happy Birthday Kimberly!!!!
