Eternally yours: when a lifetime is not enough # 15

“Listen…All my life, my nights belonged to a nightmare and to the memories of this woman. Finally, I’ve got the chance to meet her three and half years ago, during a blackout in Canada.”

Bette didn’t watched Alice’s face contract.

    “I knew it was her, Alice… I knew…And I know she felt the same…She felt our connection… She felt it…but …”

The brunette stopped to chose the words, confused.

“I don’t really know why she fucking leaved me there alone, in the dark, covered with her love! Fuck! I should have forgotten her…Maybe it should be this way this time. She should learn love with others. Maybe in this life she should be far from me, and that would be the answer,…but, Al!…” Bette reached the journalist’s face: “I couldn’t…I couldn’t let her go…Something happened to made my girl this scared, this fear, this far from me…”

Bette diminished the space between them.

“And…then, weeks ago… I knew it was her at the park, at the end of the concert. I felt she was coming…running from the rain and we touched and…”

“And, Al, I thank you Alice for telling me she would be at The Orgyophant, but I didn’t need eyes to see that she was coming. I didn’t need light to find her body, walking alone, on that dark room, at the Orgyophant…And when she came in my arms, when we came together, once again I finally have my life in my hands. I was complete.”

The art gallery owner was in a convulsion from words.

    “I know she’s my lover, Alice. She’s my soul mate, for Christ’s sake, but I don’t …”

Bette’s looked Alice straight in the eye. The tears still raining:

“…I don’t have a certificate of sanity, an official document saying I am ok, sane… I don’t have anything…Anything… To prove you and her that what I am saying is the truth. I have nothing! Damn it!! All I can show you… my memories, my senses…”

The brunette pulled again space between their bodies.

“These feelings that helped me to mold who I am, that left marks on my body and permeates my soul …Those… feelings don’t mean nothing to you. I am incapable to prove to you , with my feelings, that I am telling the truth.”

    1. Oh Braz, I loved the ending…..and we all know that the animals/pets know when people are mean, good, happy sad and all the emotions we carry upon us. Sally knew that Meltic was a bad spirit in that body of his. How many days before Meltic comes back?

    2. OMG! Sally is Bette’s former dog isn’t she? The one that bit Meltic after he shot the arrow that eventually killed Bette!!! Am I right? No wonder the dog hates him and pees all over his worthless belongings. Go Sally Go — and I mean that literally! Braz, I just don’t know how I grow to love this story more with each and every chapter. Yes, I do – it’s your fantastic story telling ability. Thank you for posting again so soon but I have to say, this chapter didn’t meet my need for sufficient Bette and Tina interaction – now I simply must have more!!! And soon please!!! I’m with Rau – let Meltic’s plane crash… and please give our lover’s another chance to ummmm….connect!

    3. Hello My most beautiful Poetess… your words melt within my soul and transform the language of love and loss within me… you reinvent the meaning of creating stories and passion… and love and words… you inspire me completely to reach further within myself to pull out all of my passion… all of my love and just fuse them with the words as they pour out of my soul onto the page. You are so very brilliant and special to share words with… to involve and experience… I am sorry I have been absent recently but rest assured I consume your words with restless abandon… mucho love and hugs my eternal poet, JC Latin Nephew to those Salsa Angels…

    4. i also think sally is bette’s former dog… no wonder sally hates meltic. meltic went away for a how many days?? lets keep him away longer please,lol..:)PPS

    5. Hi, Braz! *waving* Thanks for your kind words! We miss you, too! As for the story, you are keeping the right pace, sweetie. You have to unveil all those special details that have been part of their bond in former lives. That is the only way to make Tina comprehend the trascendental role that Bette has been as her soulmate. As for Meltic, hope he stays away for a while, to give time for Bette to solidify their union and find out what is the stone that was placed to avoid their union and that needs to be removed, so they may come back to each other. This story is amazing, Braz. Our fav, as you so know. Keep telling us how everything fits in this lifetime. How fate and and destiny play an important role.
