“How about a late summer wedding…” Tina asked, once again breaking the silence.
Bette rested her head back on the chair and looked up at the sky.
“August?”
“I could marry you in august…” Tina said, still looking at Bette.
Bette turned her face towards Tina and smiled, “august it is then….”
“Yeah?” Tina said with warbling laughter.
“Yep!”
“Well, that was easy…”
“Oh, I’m always easy…” Bette smiled and leant in to kiss Tina.
Tina pulled back a little and looked at Bette with mischief.
“Easy?”
“Not that kind of easy… although when it comes to you I think I’m easy in every sense of the word…”
“Bette, you’re anything but easy… good thing I’m always up for a challenge…”
“Mmmm, good thing…” Bette mumbled as she pulled Tina into a deep kiss.
I was Friday morning. Tina was hiding under the covers, pretending to be asleep and not noticing the loud noises coming from the kitchen. Bette had dropped some metal item on the floor three times already, every time followed by a muffled ‘shit!’
As time went by the apartment started to smell of coffee and pancakes. Tina’s stomach was rumbling. It had taken Bette 45 minutes to prepare breakfast. She had slipped out from under the covers at 6.30 after kissing Tina on the shoulder and neck, gently rousing her from deep sleep. Tina was left alone in the bed, half asleep, hoping she had a little morning love coming.
“Happy birthday, baby…” Bette said in a soft voice as she entered the bedroom.
Tina peaked over the blanket, “hi…. you were gone for a long time…”
“I made breakfast… it’s not my forte…” Bette smiled and sat down on the edge of the bed.
“I just missed you here beside me…”
Bette brushed the hair from Tina’s face, “well, it was hard to leave your warm body earlier…”
“You could come back here… I’m still warm…” Tina said in her morning voice.
Bette slipped her hand under the covers to Tina stomach. She let her fingertips trail over the soft skin before she rested her hand palm down just below Tina’s belly button.
“You seem down right hot to me…” Bette whispered.
“Despite the fact that I’m turning 34 today…?”
“No… not in spite of anything…”
Tina stomach let out a loud growling sound. Bette laughed, “wow, I think your stomach has spoken… we need to feed you. You have a long day ahead of you….”
“Mmm, I can smell the coffee from here… did you make pancakes…?”
“I did…”
“God, I love you…”
“You love me for pancakes?” Bette laughed.
“Yes, I love you for pancakes, babe… now lead the way…”

Thanks Anker…I have this shyt awful housework to do!!!! I have let it accumulate…like clothes over four rooms etc. TIME TO CLEAN UP!!!…but I saw your story and I’m such a sucker for your B & T that I just had to read…awesome as always, so much detail, and the birthday cliffie (lol)…in an anticipation of your next post I will now go off to do albeit reluctantly the housework, hoping that when I’m finished you MAY have posted the 2nd half of the birthday girl’s present….gotta love James…as for alphabette…ouch!!! she’s a teaser!!!

I love your Bette and Tina. They have worked out a lot of their problems and seem to continue to talk through them. Tina is sneaky and fun. First she has Bette meet her at work to shut up her co-workers and now this surprise to Bette’s office. Looking forward to more B&T soon.

Hey anker, this was a very nice Saturday surprise post. I love how you write B&T together and I am sure in the next chapter things are going to heat up at the office. LOL!! Hey, Anker! As always, your post brightened up the day! Love it when Alphabette comes out to play…love it even more when Tina tweaks her carefully thought out plans. What do you think? Can Bette totally embrace the journey off the well thought out path or does she stress (even a little) that Tina has changed -even in a good way- the ideas she mapped out as Tina’s perfect birthday? Anker… do you *really* want to hear me sing? I don’t think you know what you’re letting yourself in for… Do you have enough medical insurance to repair the damage to your ears? Are you ready to go through extensive therapy to recover from the mental anguish of my off-key warbling? Heed my warnings: it won’t be pretty. I don’t know if the cuteness from the puppies and kittens would be enough to counteract the damage of me mangling show tunes… And the nightmares, you ready for those too? Okay, I’m maybe not that bad. Wait, that’s a blatant lie: I am. Besides, I live at sea level… even going up a slight hill makes my ears pop, so if I get up towards the mountains to imitate the von Trapps, my head would likely explode. So, you’re likely safe from me and my singing… or are you? Dare to mention that word again, and you may find out… ;) Right, on to the chapter: T showing off Bette at the Center was too cute, yet, still hot. Heck, if I were Tina, I’d take out full-page ads in newspapers and hire billboards to show Bette off, complete with a hotline number for the jealous onlookers: 1-800-U-ENVY-ME. I can’t wait to see what T has in store for Bette… she has a whole 70 minutes (I’m allowing 5 minutes to correct things in case either– or hopefully both of them– are en déshabillé… yes, that’s a hint, anker) to pay Bette back for leaving her in that state, on her birthday, no less! anker, awesome as usual. Tina wanting to show Bette off (while totally understandable!) WAS SO CUTE. Bette wouldn’t have made it out the door that morning… grrrrr… even WITH surprises later. :) James is about the best assitant ever… I need to get one of those… LOL
