It was Tina’s turn to bite her lip while she contemplated her answer.
“I think we’re ready Bette…”
“Ready?”
“Ready to ask Charlie and Jeremy….”
Bette studied Tina’s face to try to discern if she was saying this for Bette’s sake. But Tina just looked back at her with tranquility in her eyes.
“We’ve talked this over for weeks now… I feel ready…. How do you feel, babe?” Tina asked.
“… I… are you sure…?” Bette stuttered.
“Yes, I’m sure. But if you think we should wait… we’ll wait. We should both be sure…”
Ecstatic laughter bubbled up through Bette’s throat, making her let out a strange sound from trying to speak at the same time.
Tina leant back and looked at Bette with an arch smile while Bette laughed, her eyes shining with happiness.
“I… I… am… I am ready…. T…”
“Alright then…” Tina laughed with Bette.
“Let’s do it, T…”
“Well, we can’t do it right now, Bette… we have to ask them first…” Tina giggled.
“Oh right…”
“But we could ask them before we go to Aspen next week….”
“Let’s do that… god, I hope they say yes…” Bette said.
“I don’t think Charlie would have said anything like he did at the party without giving it serious thought…”
“No… neither do I… I just want this so much… I’m not sure I’ll handle a rejection very well…”
“We won’t be rejected…. you know Charlie mentioned it again after the party…. They’re sure,” Tina said trying to make Bette remain hopeful.
“This time we’ll do it all together…” Bette whispered mostly to herself.
“What?”
“The pregnancy tests… the check ups… the ultra sounds… I want to be there for everything…” Bette mused.
“Sweetie…. don’t you think you’re getting a little ahead of yourself…? I have to become pregnant first. That could take time…” Tina said and swallowed hard.
“We don’t know that… maybe it won’t…” Bette said.
“But we need to be able to handle it if it does take time…”
“I know… but T?”
“Yes, baby?”
“If it takes a long time, we’ll handle it…. but let’s not focus on the negative for now…. I just… This is BIG T…. I want to focus on this amazing feeling I have inside when you tell me you want to have a child with me… can we do that?”
“Yes, we can do that…. we can definitely do that…” Tina smiled.
“Good… we should celebrate…” Bette said and jumped up.
“Okay….” Tina chuckled at the sight of the ecstatic Bette.
“What do you wanna do….?” Bette asked with glee.
“Honestly?”
“Yes of course…”
“I want you to come back here… and let me show you how happy you make me…”
Bette smiled, “I can do that….”
“Yeah?”
Bette was sitting on her knees on the bed next to Tina, who was barely covered by the crumpled up sheet. Bette leant forward and placed her hands under Tina knees. With a firm grip Bette pulled Tina close. Tina couldn’t help the shriek that left her lips. She started laughing at Bette’s alpha behavior.
“You’re gonna get it now….” Bette said in a warning voice.
“I’m counting on that,” Tina giggled.

That was very adorable. I love when they are loving.. I can’t wait for some baby making. Maybe on their trip? That would be very romantic. Glad they talked through the past.. its really important. So glad your characters learn from their mistakes. IC, are you listening? PPS.
This was incredibly warm, saucy, loving, and all I can tell you is welcome back!! It’s good to take a break sometimes for sure, but never stay away for too long. This is a great story that hits a homerun in terms of tender, loving moments between two loving women. Thanks Anker!
I thought I was seeing things when I first saw that our wayward anker had posted. LOL!! But of course another great and romantic chapter. Loved the B&T togetherness. Still waiting somewhat patiently to hear from a certain friend. Just a little tidbit about whats up to tide you over….I am going to my first pride celebration tomorrow with a group of women that I have met over the last month. Will give you more details in my next email. Just wanted to let you know I am doing alot better. Oh and please try to post the next chapter…which I assume should be a NC-17 “wink” “wink”….a little sooner than you did this one. LOL!!
Good to see you post, Anker. I always go back and read the previous post before I read the new one. What a difference in tone! The last one was so much more deep and questioning while this one B & T seem so secure in their love for each other. Loved the scene after Tina’s workout. Could really visulaize that happening. Also had to laugh when T said, “No shit, Bette!” Bette is sometimes so clueless about how much Tina really “gets it!” I’d like to see them in a few more back together readjustment scenes, but it looks like we’re moving right to insemination. I always smile when I see a post from you whether they’re weeks or days(?) apart! Looking foorard to more…..thanks for writing!
Hey there, I’ll go back to read in a minute but yeah I did intend a PM, something about something seriously work related e.g. social work in Denmark but it just escapes me for the moment; it will come back. I’m on 1st day of holidays so just laxing out catching up with reading then might write a little something….just had to say all that b4 I forget cuz once I get into the story all else disappears…aren’t u just great???!!! lol… brb

That was probably one of the best 5 hour spans ever. And it wasn’t long-winded, if anything, it was nearly too short (for me that is, cos I missed the story. A *lot*. Stop disappearing on me!)! This chapter was just so… well, *nice*. I’m sure there’s a better word, but I can’t think of one right now. The vulnerability, the decision about the donor… Cuteness and sensuality abound with these two and it’s such a delightfully heady mix. It’s gotten me feeling all warm and fuzzy and a bit blissed out. You could bottle this and sell it, it’s way better than champagne. Thank you for posting (don’t stay away so long next time, or else I might have to resort to desperate action… hopefully, we’ll never have to find out what that is ;) ), I loved the chapter (I’m still blissed), and post soon, anker. I love their playfulness and their seriousness also. They are growing closer and trusting theirselves and each other. They would make wonderful mothers and I hope that Charlie and Jeremy ment what they said.
