    Author Notes:

    It is a new day for Bette and a surprise ending.

     

    Tina smiled at Bette and said “How are you feeling baby?”

     

    Bette said “I feel groggy”.

     

    Tina said “Yeah? You do? Why don’t you close your eyes and try to go to sleep Bette. When you wake up you will be finished with this procedure and I will be right here waiting for you, ok?”

     

    Bette said “T, your hands feel so good. So good.”.

     

    Tina chuckled to herself at Bette’s slurred words and slow motion actions. She knew that the medication was doing its job.  She continued to stroke Bette and whisper loving words of encouragements to Bette until she drifted into sleep. After a few minutes Dr. Miller and nurses came back. The nurse team quickly converted Bette’s bed into a strolling gurney and began to roll her bed toward the door.

     

    Tina said “Wait! Let me give her a kiss bye”. She ran over and whispered into Bette’s ear I love you and then brushed her cheek with her lips on the way to her mouth where she tenderly kissed her on the lips. 

     

    Tina exhaled heavily and gathered up some personal belongings to bring over to the hotel. She loved being with Bette, but she was looking forward to having a break for a few hours and a long hot shower.  She slung her back over her shoulder and headed out of the door of the hospital to the hotel she was technically staying at across the street. As the morning sun hit her skin she looked up and squinted. She paused when she realized that she had not been outside in many days.

     

    Tina moved at her own pace since she had three hours to burn. She figured that the less she thought about Bette in the operating room the better off she would be.  She unpacked some stuff that she sent off to the front desk to be laundered and picked up another lot of clean laundry and packed it back into her bag. She took a long hot shower and ordered room service to be ready for her when she got out of the shower. She ate a decent meal from the hotel and caught some news on TV. She called Kit to speak to Angie and then decided to head back over to the hospital a half hour early, just to be sure she was ready for Bette. She wanted to keep her promise that she would be right there for her when she awoke.

     

    Tina strode out of the hotel and across the street back into the hospital. She made the familiar track up to Bette’s room. She went up the elevator and rounded the corner to Bette’s room. She whisked open the door and to her horror saw Bette laying in bed and Jodie jumped back in complete surprise.

     

    Tina said “What the hell is going on in here?”

Tina needs to kick her A**, NOW while there are medical people around to bandage Jodi up. Hopefully, Bette won’t wake up and get freaked out. Please, please, please post soon.

    14. Oh no is Jodie back..thats not good for Bettes recovery…Bettes needs to be at least back at 90% to deal with Jodie. Please don’t wait so long to post..good update.
