James: “yeah a little. I’m glad things are working out for you Bette.”
Bette was still stunned looking at the screen.
Bette: “huh? Oh.. yeah right. Thank you.”
James: “don’t be a stranger, huh?”
Bette: “I won’t. And James again thank you.”
James: “Think nothing of it.”
He hung up. Bette sat looking at the screen in utter confusion. She had no idea what spurred this sudden interest in her. She sat and thought back to the party and Harmony’s little cryptic conversation with Brady.
Bette: Could it be?
The door bell rings. Bette picks up the baby and walks to the door. She looks out the window.
Guy: “UPS”
She opens the door.
Bette: “Hi I’m not expecting a package.”
Guy: “You Bette Porter?”
Bette: “yes”
Guy: “Well this is for you.”
He hands her the clip board to sign, which she does, then hands her a large box. She can barley handle it with one arm with the baby in the other.
Bette: “What is this Angie huh? You send mommy something?”
She placed her in her swing and got a knife to open it. She pulled out a large basket with plastic over it. It had a large teddy bear in it and the bear had a smaller bear with a little pink bow between its legs. Around the bears on one side was lotion, shower gel and other bath related products. On the other side was the same products but for children. There was a note attached to the plastic wrapping. The envelope said to Bette and Angelica from Harmony. Bette pulled out the card.
Bette,
Just wanted to send you a thank you for spending the night with me. You kept me sane during that whole ordeal. Since I already gave you flowers I thought I’d send you something a little more useful and that the baby could utilize as well. I hope you both enjoy it. Hope to see you soon.

Bette was stunned by this sweet gesture.
Bette: “Look Angelica. Look what you got.”

Biased I’m sorry to write this but I don’t give a fuck about Tina in this story seriously Vibes you are doing a great job of making her role as minimal as it can be. This is all about Bette and her finding some of the strength and confidence that has been literally sucked out of her being by all the shit that has gone down in her relationship with Tina. Yippie for Vibes…

I totally agree with Slipperynipple. Bette deserves to get her confidence and strength back. If Harmony is the one to help her with this then so be it. Tina had her chance to work things out with Bette and for whatever reasons she didn’t take advantage of it. So Bette should do whatever it takes to be a happy and confident woman again. Keep this going Vibes–great story.
Take your time, I like th foundation you’be built so far. All your fans will be patient I’m sure. Tina sure is acting immature though. I can’t belive they are living in the same house and barely speaking. Might be time for Tina to get her own place.

I can’t believe that Bette is actually worried about what Tina would think if she decided to go back to work. Seems to me that Tina gave up any right to have a say in Bette’s life when she headed out the door with someone else. I’m really enjoying this story and look forward to the next chapter.
I’m with Slipperynipple.I dont care a flying Fig about Tina,she maded her bed let her lay in it. Bette needs a job ,Just for Bette,It want be long before Tina is gone and will want a nanny for the baby.so Bette needs to look into her future beyond Tina and She will see the baby

As much as I want B&T together, I really like the fact that Bette is getting to be her old self again. Maybe. Harmony is good for Bette in that she sees what she used to be looking at harmony and enjoying it and missing her old life. Good for Bette. Personally, I think Tina has waited too long for a comeback. Bette still considers Tina’s feelings even now. She is the better woman in this. Thanks for the post.
I like this story and while i am a little sad about whee B and T seem to be going I like seeing Bette at least a little happy again and she deserves someone who will treat her well.
please post soon I want to read the next chapter so bad I don’t know what to do. I think evreybody wants that type of love thing. Every woman wants to be treated like a queen. I am so happy for bette I don’t even know what to do with myself. At this point I thank god bette is putting her foot down. And not taking that BS that tina is feeding her. Bette is goreous and she deserves true love, even if is for the moment.

Go Bette, “its ya birthday we gonna party like it’s your birthday” Bette should move the hell on and then have Tina wanting to come back only after which Bette tells her to “Step off Bitch”

loving this story… i hope bette and harmony grow into a couple, but i think tina will be having a hard time watching bette so happy and giddy- how they used to be.
