Angelica just smiled at Bette as if she knew what was going on. Bette went get her cell phone and called Harmony. The phone rang so many times Bette was about to hang up. Just as she was pulling the phone from her ear
Harmony: “Hello?”
Bette: “Hi”
Harmony was having a busy day butt she stopped to take Bette’s call.
Harmony: “Hold a sec Bette?”
Bette: “Sure”
Harmony leaned over to her intercom.
Harmony: “Hold my calls for 5 minutes Stac.”
Stacy: “Sure thing”
Harmony put the phone back to her ear.
Harmony: “sorry.”
Bette: “if you busy I can call back”
Harmony: “No no I can make a minute for you.”
Bette: “Well I just wanted to call and thank you for the gift.”
Harmony: “Oh you got it? I didn’t think I would be there until tomorrow.”
Bette: “yeah I did and I love it. So does Angelica. She’s playing with her bear now. Well drooling on it.’
Harmony: “Well I’m glad you ladies like it.”
Bette: “It was very thoughtful but I don’t know why your thanking me. I should be thanking you.”
Harmony: “Me?”
Bette: “yes I had a splendid time Saturday. You showed me the best time I’ve had in a long time.”
Harmony: “My pleasure.”
Bette: “Also I received a call from the CAC”
Harmony: “Calling in prostration for their terrible decision?”
Bette: “Not so much but they should be sorry none the less. My old assistant informed me that just about every gallery in
Harmony: “Wow is that so?”
Bette: “Don’t play coy with me Ms. Sunfire.”
Harmony laughed.
Harmony: “Ok OK maybe I had a little something to do with that. I knew Brady was an art junkie so I knew telling him you were responsible for Provocations would send him on the war path.”
Bette: “Well I appreciate it. I dunno if I’m able or willing to work again right now though.”
Harmony: “Well there’s no pressure. Weigh your options. Think about it. I mean they’re pursuing you not that other way around right? So take your time. When you’re ready, go for it then.”

Biased I’m sorry to write this but I don’t give a fuck about Tina in this story seriously Vibes you are doing a great job of making her role as minimal as it can be. This is all about Bette and her finding some of the strength and confidence that has been literally sucked out of her being by all the shit that has gone down in her relationship with Tina. Yippie for Vibes…

I totally agree with Slipperynipple. Bette deserves to get her confidence and strength back. If Harmony is the one to help her with this then so be it. Tina had her chance to work things out with Bette and for whatever reasons she didn’t take advantage of it. So Bette should do whatever it takes to be a happy and confident woman again. Keep this going Vibes–great story.
Take your time, I like th foundation you’be built so far. All your fans will be patient I’m sure. Tina sure is acting immature though. I can’t belive they are living in the same house and barely speaking. Might be time for Tina to get her own place.

I can’t believe that Bette is actually worried about what Tina would think if she decided to go back to work. Seems to me that Tina gave up any right to have a say in Bette’s life when she headed out the door with someone else. I’m really enjoying this story and look forward to the next chapter.
I’m with Slipperynipple.I dont care a flying Fig about Tina,she maded her bed let her lay in it. Bette needs a job ,Just for Bette,It want be long before Tina is gone and will want a nanny for the baby.so Bette needs to look into her future beyond Tina and She will see the baby

As much as I want B&T together, I really like the fact that Bette is getting to be her old self again. Maybe. Harmony is good for Bette in that she sees what she used to be looking at harmony and enjoying it and missing her old life. Good for Bette. Personally, I think Tina has waited too long for a comeback. Bette still considers Tina’s feelings even now. She is the better woman in this. Thanks for the post.
I like this story and while i am a little sad about whee B and T seem to be going I like seeing Bette at least a little happy again and she deserves someone who will treat her well.
please post soon I want to read the next chapter so bad I don’t know what to do. I think evreybody wants that type of love thing. Every woman wants to be treated like a queen. I am so happy for bette I don’t even know what to do with myself. At this point I thank god bette is putting her foot down. And not taking that BS that tina is feeding her. Bette is goreous and she deserves true love, even if is for the moment.
