“So how are things proceeding with Lyndsay?”
Bette and Tina looked at each other. They were not aware that Shane knew about Lyndsay.
Tina was the one to speak…..”Well, I would say that they are in a period of discovery.”
Shane was confused. “What do you mean discovery? I talked to Ang the last time she was home. She seemed confused as to what to do about pursuing anything, but I could tell that this girl got to her.”
Bette now smiled and said “Oh you could say that.”
“What do you mean Bette?” inquired Shane.
“Well let’s just say that we….ah…. well we sort of walked in on them at the apartment.”
“Angie’s apartment? In New York? I thought Lyndsay lived in North Carolina?”
“She does, apparently she was in New York for business and they spent some time together,” replied Tina in a very playful voice.
Shane smiled, she knew that one way or another that Angie was going to see this woman again, you could see it in her eyes when she talked about her. This was more than just a random crush for Angie, this had the potential to be the real deal.
Back in New York…….
Now was the time that Angelica was really in panic mode. Lyndsay? Why would he be asking her about Lyndsay, he must know, he’s probably really angry with me. Deciding to play dumb, not knowing of course that Lyndsay still had not talked to her parents about them, Angie proceeded to ask in as calm a voice as she could muster given the circumstances;
“Lyndsay? What can I help you with regarding your daughter?”
“Surely you must have an idea Angelica.”
“No, actually I’m not sure what you are talking about.”
“Her artwork. I need you to help me convince her to show her paintings.”
Angelica let out a huge sigh. Art? That’s what he was talking about?? Art…..she shook her head and leaned back in her chair. “Well, I’m not really sure what it is that I can do to help you sir. Lyndsay was pretty adamant about not wanting to show her paintings.”
“Angie, you see that’s what I don’t understand. It’s not like her to keep secrets like this from her mother and I, so there must be a reason that she didn’t want us to know that she had started painting.”

Taz, first of all I am happy for and jealous of you for having some R&R at the lake, secondly OMG will her parents just kell over LOL. Not only does my girl tell them that “he is a she”, but she drops Angie’s name. Way to get it all out in one breath Lyndsay. PPS :o).
I really hope you will post soon. I love your writing and can’t wait to see how you capture her parent’s reaction.
Oh no, me and Charlie Brown who is asleep on he pillow next to me, got all excited there waiting to hear Lyndsay’s parents reaction but instead you hung us out to dry & have gone for some r & r at the lake. Whar Lake? where? I feel like coming to hang you hang out to dry for that cliffee. Yes, Charlie Brown next to me is getting excited at the prospect of hunting u down too!!!! I’m sure the dad will get it; after all he had a thing for one of Ange’s mommas. PPS.

Here I come in to read this next chapter, all excited that I will have the chance to read yet another post before I go on vacation and you go to the lake right…figuring to myself “Oh goodness, this MUST be THE chapter!!!!” THEN…..*grumbling*….then you go and leave this cliffhanger!!!! Oh gosh, seems that Lynds got all that out in her breath. I can just imagine the looks on her parents faces, especially her father. Hopefully they won’t give her a hard time about her feelings for Angie. It will take some thought on their parts however. Can hardly wait. PPS

Tazzie, what an interesting chappy. Glad to hear that Lindsay finally got the guts to tell her parents. We laughed at Angie’s panic, due to Linds’ dad calling her about the art piece he had gotten. We cannot wait to see Lindsay’s parents reaction. Hmmm If they have backed her up all her life, we do not foresee any trouble at all. Let us see what you’ve got inside your sleeve to share with us.
