“You looked funny when Bette threw you in mom.”
“I did huh…” Tina pulled him into a hug getting him wet as well.
“Okay, okay we’re even.” Tina pulled away and Bette threw both of them a towel to dry off.
“Hey Bette do you want to make that sandcastle now?”
“Yeah, you know this will be my first sandcastle.”
Eli led Bette over to the side. “It’s easy. I’ll show you how it’s done.”
As Tina looked at Bette and Eli she reached over and took out her cellphone. “Hey Sandy I need you and Bryce to do me a favor.”
“No hey how you doing.”
“Sandy we talked last night after you guys talked to Eli.”
“Yeah but Bryce hogged the phone.”
“Sandy we’ll talk more later I promise but right now I need you to do me a favor.”
“What is it?”
“I need you and Bryce to look into job openings in California.”
“Are you moving to California?”
“I don’t know but I want to know my options.”
“Okay we’ll get this done for you. Umm do you want me to look for bicoastal positions as well or just openings based in California?”
“Both.”
“Okay, do you want us to ask Brad?”
“No, I know he keeps offering me a better position in California or to at least consider a bicoastal position but I’m not making a decision yet I just want to know what I have to work with.”
“Alright we’ll do this without the big boss man finding out, and I’ll get back to you.”
“Thanks Sandy.”
“Don’t mention it…hey wait if you do move to LA are you going to bring me and Bryce with you?”
“Of course you guys are a part of my team, but I don’t know if I’m going to move down here yet I just…”
“I know. I know you want to know your options. Don’t worry we’ll take care of it.”
“Alright thanks Sandy. I have to go.”
Bette walked back to Tina and gave her a kiss. “Hey babe come check out our castle…oh can you bring the camera I want a picture of me and Eli in front of it.”
Tina pulled the camera out before Bette started to pull her towards the castle. ” Wow you guys this looks really good, you even dug a moat.”
“Yeah that was Bette’s idea.”
“Really, good job babe…” Tina gave Bette a quick peck on the lips. “…okay let me take your picture.”
Bette and Eli went on either side as Tina took the picture. After the picture they picked up their things and started there walk back to the house. Eli and Nero walked ahead. Bette and Tina were holding hands as they slowly followed.
“Hey T who were you talking to earlier?”
“I called Sandy. It was work related.”
“Is everything okay?”
“Yeah I just needed some information and since I’m not there I asked Sandy and Bryce to get it for me.”
“Alright babe, as long as you don’t cut your trip short I’m happy.” Bette wrapped her arm around Tina.
“I’m happy too babe and I wouldn’t dream of cutting our trip short. I intend to spend as much time with you as possible.”
“Good, because I have plans for us.”
“Really plans? What kind of plans?”
“Well not definite plans but plans that involve you, Eli, and our future.”
“Oh those kinds of plans.”
“Yeah, are you okay with that?”
“I am. Sometime soon we’re going to have to talk about how we’re going to stay together but not today. Today we’re going to go home spend some time together, and I’m going to make sure you relax…nothing stressful today.”
“That sounds good to me. Actually that sounds perfect.”

great update…on the first page though i think there’s a mix up with some sentences…like couple of phrazes got switched or something

I love this story….the pacing, the dialogue, the characters just the whole concept.
Your story is one I wait for faithfully. Drama I understand, but lets hope they go through the drama together and come out stronger. We wouldn’t want Eli to get too upset because his mother isn’t happy

This IS perfect Bette….oh I mean Toribio :o)) Another wonderful post, I’m really addicted to this story. Eli is so sweet, I loved “I’ll have whatever Bette’s having.” :o)) And the heated kisses between B&T are SOOOO great – and the banter is priceless LOL. More please :o))

Great update Tori but something happened on the first page several sentences were cut up and missing words and phrases and I could not put it together to make sense. To me those were essential. Great story other than those problems. Lovve Eli’s reaction to B&T being together. Please don’t make the drama too, too much they’ve been thru enough heartache and lonliness without each other. Give them some time to love again. Thanks again. Great story of reconnection and regaining lost love.

Oh no, Tina is looking into moving to LA and I bet Bette is looking into moving to NY. Sort of like the Gift of the Magi story line. Drama is fine as long as B&T along with Eli stay together.
