“I know I’m not against talking, although our last talk was really hard. I’m worried about the timing. What if our conversation doesn’t end well…you’ll be in San Diego the next morning…very far away from me.”
Tina pulled Bette into a hug. “If we still have unresolved feelings we can push back the trip. I’m not going to leave you if we’re not okay.”
“Alright, but I still don’t like that you’re leaving.”
“It’s only going to be for a day, we’ll meet you back at the house that night. Besides you’ll have a lot to keep you busy at work.”
“Everything’s pretty much done we just want to get some more good publicity out about the gallery and I have to review the caterer’s menu one more time. I’ll just be tying up loose ends this week.”
“Good because me and Eli are expecting a tour of the gallery.”
“I’ll make it happen.”
They leaned in to kiss. Tina knew she assuaged some of Bette’s concerns. Eli had managed to sneak up to them; he raised his water gun and wet both of them. Tina hid behind Bette so she took the brunt of it.
Bette was trying her best to shield herself, but despite being soaked she was having fun.
Eli didn’t want to wet them too much; he knew there would be some type of retribution. “You guys looked like you were a little hot.”
Bette smoothed out her wet hair and chuckled. “And you were considerate enough to cool us off…” Tina came out from behind Bette. “…and where did you go?”
Tina laughed as she wiped some more water off Bette. “I’m sorry baby but that water was cold.”
Bette sweetly smiled at Tina as she stood up bringing Tina with her. She quickly picked her up and took her into the water where she submersed both of them.
Tina came back sputtering. “What was that for?”
They made their way over to Eli who was laughing. “Well I can’t throw Eli into the water because of his cast so I decided to have my revenge on you.”

great update…on the first page though i think there’s a mix up with some sentences…like couple of phrazes got switched or something

I love this story….the pacing, the dialogue, the characters just the whole concept.
Your story is one I wait for faithfully. Drama I understand, but lets hope they go through the drama together and come out stronger. We wouldn’t want Eli to get too upset because his mother isn’t happy

This IS perfect Bette….oh I mean Toribio :o)) Another wonderful post, I’m really addicted to this story. Eli is so sweet, I loved “I’ll have whatever Bette’s having.” :o)) And the heated kisses between B&T are SOOOO great – and the banter is priceless LOL. More please :o))

Great update Tori but something happened on the first page several sentences were cut up and missing words and phrases and I could not put it together to make sense. To me those were essential. Great story other than those problems. Lovve Eli’s reaction to B&T being together. Please don’t make the drama too, too much they’ve been thru enough heartache and lonliness without each other. Give them some time to love again. Thanks again. Great story of reconnection and regaining lost love.

Oh no, Tina is looking into moving to LA and I bet Bette is looking into moving to NY. Sort of like the Gift of the Magi story line. Drama is fine as long as B&T along with Eli stay together.
