Bette laughed. “I could live with that.”
Tina was smiling. “I like camping, but I do draw the line at eating grubs.”
Bette scrunched up her nose. “Yeah that sounds especially unappealing.”
Eli sat up. “That part sounds a little gross but grandpa Ty said it’s not as bad as it sounds…mom are we ready to go?”
“Yeah we’re all set, let’s get going.”
They made their way out onto the beach and found a place to have their picnic. Bette was having the time of her life. After they had their lunch, they all laid out in the sun. The cove they were at afforded them some shade, so they were able to relax without worrying about getting sunburned. Eli got bored and went to throw the ball with Nero.
Bette was lying on her back and Tina was snuggled up next to her. She was brushing her fingers through Tina’s hair, as Tina was gently caressing Bette’s stomach.
“So T did you decide when you’re going to drive down to San Diego?”
“Yeah we’re going down on Monday. I thought that we could talk some more tomorrow…” Tina held herself up and looked down at Bette. “…what do you think?”
Bette sat up. “What about Eli?”
“Alice and Dana wanted to take him for the day. I’m not sure where they’re going, but I’m sure Al will show him a good time.”
Tina was looking at Bette, but Bette was looking over at Eli. “Yeah…”
Tina saw that Bette looked uncomfortable. She rubbed Bette’s arm. “What’s wrong baby?”
Bette turned back and her eyes showed her uncertainty. “The last talk we had was pretty intense, what if things are still unresolved before you drive down to San Diego?”
Tina sighed, “I know that what we have to talk about is going to be emotional for the both of us, but we both want the same thing right?”
Bette nodded, so Tina continued. “So if we both want the be with each other it’s going to happen, but before we can move on together we have to get through all our old issues so we don’t make the same mistakes.”

great update…on the first page though i think there’s a mix up with some sentences…like couple of phrazes got switched or something

I love this story….the pacing, the dialogue, the characters just the whole concept.
Your story is one I wait for faithfully. Drama I understand, but lets hope they go through the drama together and come out stronger. We wouldn’t want Eli to get too upset because his mother isn’t happy

Great update Tori but something happened on the first page several sentences were cut up and missing words and phrases and I could not put it together to make sense. To me those were essential. Great story other than those problems. Lovve Eli’s reaction to B&T being together. Please don’t make the drama too, too much they’ve been thru enough heartache and lonliness without each other. Give them some time to love again. Thanks again. Great story of reconnection and regaining lost love.

Oh no, Tina is looking into moving to LA and I bet Bette is looking into moving to NY. Sort of like the Gift of the Magi story line. Drama is fine as long as B&T along with Eli stay together.
