    A crush, a meeting then love?? – Chapter 27

Her hair is long, shes wearing makeup. Her clothes are different. Shes like a whole new person. She says.

Both of them remembers Tina as a tomboy with short hair, no makeup and sweatshirts and jeans. She was more like a woman now, Kathleen thought.

Jack say something. She says and looks over at him.

Like what? Shes still a *****, shes still a sinner, I cant look at her. He replies

Just then Sarah enters the house, she rushes into the living room.

Did you see her? she asks.

    Yeah. Kathleen replies.

Well? Sarah asks as she looks at her mother waiting. Has she changed? She continues.

Yes, she has changed a lot. Her hair was long and up, she had makeup on Oh wait, there she is again. Kathleen says and points at the TV. Sarah looks at her lost sister. She takes a seat next to her mother.

Wow, shes beautiful. Sarah says silently, as a single tear escape her eye. She quickly wipes it away.

Kathleen sees the tear. She doesnt say anything. Then Sarah speaks.

Mom, why didnt you accept her? Sarah asks.

Kathleen doesnt answer right away. Mom? Sarah says.

We are Christian people, and it is a sin to be with someone of the same *****. Kathleen replies.

Mom, did you look at her? Did she look like a sinner? She looked happy mom, who are we to deny her that? Sarah says and raises her voice a little.

Dont raise your voice at your mother. Jack calls out.

I will raise my voice as I like it. Ive been loyal to you, respected your choice, God knows why! But the real reason I did it, was because I was scared to death that you would do the same to me, if I supported Tina. That you would threw me out as well. Sarah says as another tear escapes. Kathleen bows her head down. Ive hold my breath for way to long on this. Im going to contact Tina, whether you like it or not. And Im going to tell her that I miss her and that I have been the most stupidest person alive. Sarah says and leaves the house.

    1. Lauren…wonderful chapter. Tina just needs a little bit of time, but she’ll talk thing over with her little sister. I like that Bette was supportive even to Sarah. Enjoy you weekend trip. Thanks for the chapter.

    2. This brief but moving moment with Tina and her sister was so real, I could see it in front of me like a witness. Great work, Lauren.

And how lovely, this “on line” public interraction between our marvellous two ! A pure delight, thank you !

Ah, those TV zooms really were an ideal way to show Tina to her family – and so to analyse family’s reactions : from the stupid intolerent “Christian” (sooo Christian indeed !) father to the truly remorseful sister, with the usual dependent wife who will hesit between to still “obey” to her husband and society’s “normality” concepts or to endly react against this ugly state of mind, grown up and contact her daughter…

By the way, Lauren, could your depiction of the young Tina being “a tomboy with short hair” be a winked allusion to Laurel Holloman’s appearance in her famous first movie, “The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love” ? I wonder ! ^_^

Many many thanks for your so engaging story – and all my best wishes for your weekend ! Enjoy it fully !!

    3. Tina i hope you will forgive your sister… and her parents … well i hope they come around… as long as bette is there to support her…

      another great chapter… please continue

    4. What can a 15 yr old do when she has controling parents? You grin and bear it and still love you sister and miss her. great chapter. Thanks

    5. Yay, Bette! I was striding along on every green! Don’t forget to have her sign the scorecard. Some big name men’s golfer lost a tournament because he neglected to do that. I think his caddy got fired for not reminding him!
Did Bette win a trip to Disneyworld? I can just see her, hugging Tina after the win, doing the promo!
      Thanks!

    6. Good chapter. Tina can talk to Sarah and forgive her, and about her parent I think they still need time to see what’s they do to Tina is wrong and hope they will make it up to Tina. Post soon, thanks!

    7. Great chapter, but did we forget that Tina is a photographer and was also working. The local camera assumed that she was Bette’s girl friend not recognizing her press cridentials and that she was shotting with professional equipment. I need a little levity here. Tina needs to time (probably overnight) to process this, because it happen so quickly. I am sure that she and Sarah will reconnect. Congrads. Bette! I will be interested to see if Bette will become jelous of some of Tina’s ex.’s when they get back to LA. I mean Tina was supposely HOT to trot on the single’s scene and I am sure that some of those women will still want to try thier luck. Enjoy your weekend Lauren and come back loaded with fresh chapters.

    8. Another great chapter. Love that Bette is getting back into true form, on the course, and that she and Tina’s relationship hasn’t hindered her progress, or acceptance with the others on the field. Hopefully, in time her parents will come around. Still can’t quite understand how so called Christians can justify turning away from their children. Amazing how they chose to grasp only certain Christian-like behavior. Interesting. Well, it’s good to see that the youngest, of the family, is more accepting. It’s nice to see Bette concerned about Tina’s relationship with her family. Guess, I’ll stay tuned ’til next week. Have a great weekend!

    9. Hey I agree with T-boz WOW! it’s really sad that My fellow Christian and Catholic I’m Catholic and it’s really Sad to Judge the Peoples what ever they BACKGROUND ONLY GOD have right to JUDGE US whatever we DO Thanks Lauren Please post soon.

    11. The parent/family thing hits home. She does need her sister. Even if the parents don’t come around..some part is better than none. Thanks for the story and hope you had a wonderful weekend.
