Within Temptation – (Chapter: 85: 50 years later)
“We can’t feel each other, sadly.”
“It’s ok. I’m just glad you are here with me now.”
Spencer scooted as close to Ashley as she could and looked into her eyes.
“It’s weird seeing you this young again.”
“I came back in the form that you would be most comfortable with.”
Spencer was smiling at her wife, but her smile quickly faded when she realized their conversation was about to take a more serious turn.
“Do you know when I will die?”
Ashley only nodded.
“Do you know how?”
Ashley shook her head.
“Can you tell me when?”
“That I can not do. I can’t interfere with anything like that. Just as I can’t do something like give you the winning lottery numbers.”
“Like I would need that. I am loaded.”
“All thanks to me.”
Spencer laughed at her wife and both girls smiled as if nothing bad had ever happened with them.
“Where all can you go?”
“Anywhere you go. I am with you entirely. Our souls are like magnets. I couldn’t leave if I tried.”
“But you were gone for over a week. The worst week of my life. How were the magnets not working then?”
“I had to go meet God and do all the fancy stuff you do when you die. Which I am not allowed to tell you. God has complete power which means power to pull us apart, but God isn’t as horrible as the Christians make her/him/it out to be. God didn‘t want to use that power to keep us apart. Especially when technically God created this bond between us, even if it was accidental. So, God made this exception to let me come back to you, because it was the only way the greater plan could continue to unfold as it was created to do.”
“This is crazy. Even death can’t keep us apart… Wait, her/him/it?”
“You can not give a specific gender to God. God is everything.“
“I never thought I would hear you say that.”
“I was never anti God. Just anti religion. God doesn’t care which religion you practice, because technically they are all wrong in their own way, but right in their own way. As long as you are a good person you can get into Heaven.”

the ending was great i cried a little but i liked it
There was a lot left unsaid due to the few large leaps into the future. What wasn’t said in my story is just left to the imagination. That’s how I want it. Sometimes things are better that way :3
I’ll definitely be posting on FF.net. I tried posting stuff there before but I had a hard time with it. It always jumbled my stuff together which is one reason I prefer writing on this site.
this was awesome from beging to end
