Within Temptation – (Chapter: 85: 50 years later)
50 Years later Spencer was all alone with the exception of Kyla and Veronica. Her parents had passed away long ago, along with her brother Clay. Glen was alive and well, but he had moved away nearly 50 years ago. He was having some sort of identity crisis and ended up getting a trophy wife that he bragged about constantly. No one really new it was his attempt to hide the fact that he was gay, but Spencer knew. She felt sorry that he couldn’t be himself and have a happy life like she did.
Ashley had passed away as well. It was the most peaceful death she could have asked for. She went to sleep one night and never woke up again. She had been as healthy as a woman her age could have possibly been, but it was just her time to go.
She had only been gone for a little over a week and Spencer was terribly heart broken. She wouldn’t leave her and Ashley’s bed for anything. The blankets still smelled like Ashley and it was the only thing that kept Spencer holding on. The kids were grown and out of the house, so Spencer didn’t need to get up for any reason. Their children and their families came into town for the funeral. They stayed as long as they possibly could have, but they had to get back to their jobs. They hated leaving their mother in the state she was in, but they knew Kyla and Veronica were there for her.
Aside from painfully arranging the funeral and attending it she never left their bed. The only time she would eat was when Kyla came over and forced her to do so, which happened three times a day seeing as the short brunette lived just next door.
Kyla was sad and depressed in her own way, but she held herself together for the girl that couldn’t. She had to take care of Spencer for Ashley. All three girls were very close, so there was no way Kyla was going to let Spencer go through this alone. Veronica wasn’t as close to Spencer and Ashley. She was a very secretive person and only allowed herself to be close to Kyla, but she was still there for all the girls when they needed. Kyla spent much time in her late sisters home, but Spencer never said a lot. She was lost in her own mind and it broke Kyla’s heart to know there wasn’t much she could do to help.

the ending was great i cried a little but i liked it
There was a lot left unsaid due to the few large leaps into the future. What wasn’t said in my story is just left to the imagination. That’s how I want it. Sometimes things are better that way :3
I’ll definitely be posting on FF.net. I tried posting stuff there before but I had a hard time with it. It always jumbled my stuff together which is one reason I prefer writing on this site.
this was awesome from beging to end
