    Nothing tastes as sweet as what I can’t have…

    Grabbing his Ipod, Aiden quickly found the song. He plugged the player into its base turning up the volume loud enough to drown out the noise coming from his bathroom. A breathy whisper startled him as smaller arms wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer, “You’re so beautiful.” Aiden felt his face grow hot. He looked into cornflower blue, smiling, “Dance with me.”

    Fly me to the moon

    Let me sing among those stars

    Let me see what spring is like

    On Jupiter and Mars

    In other words, hold my hand

    In other words, baby kiss me

    Soft lips pressed into his before teeth nipped at his bottom lip. Aiden closed his eyes, allowing himself to enjoy the moment completely. Wrapping his arms tightly around the slim waist of his lover, he danced carelessly.

    Fill my heart with song

    Let me sing for ever more

    You are all I long for

    All I worship and adore

    Unable to stop himself, Aiden sang along with last verse. His eyes watered when the still damp body in his arms instantly stiffened.

    Gentle hands forced his brimming eyes open. They stared at each other, silence reigning again as the song ended. “Baby, I wish things…” Shaking his head, Aiden covered the still moving lips with his hand, whispering. “I know…” Loud knocking interrupted the moment. Widening blue eyes, matched the tensing fingers around his waist. “Are you expecting anyone?” Aiden shook his head, “No…don’t worry. It’s probably just somebody selling something. I’ll take care of it.” Green eyes trailed his lover’s hastily retreating back into the bathroom before he grabbed his shorts from the floor. The knocking continued louder. Goddamn it! “I’ll be right there!”

    As the door opened, he couldn’t suppress a shocked gasp. “Ashley? What in the hell are you doing here?”

    The brunette quickly rushed past him into the studio apartment. “I need to talk to you.”

    Aiden roughly grabbed her arm, turning her around and pushing her back towards the door. “Ash, now really isn’t a good time!”

    “Really, when is it going to be a good time Aiden? I’ve been trying to reach you for almost two weeks! I need you…please.” She’s so close. Her hand cupped his chin before running lightly along his jaw line. Shivering, he sighed softly. When her arm snuck around his waste, pulling him to her, he realized they were closer then they had been in years. Aiden felt his body cringing, instinctively shying away from the brunette’s touch. This time fingertips pressed gently against his back then grasped his hand, silently leading him towards his bed.

    23. i think this story is a little above my reading level…lol. i know it jumps back and forth…but im confused as tro when it does and what exactly is going on with spencer in labor…or not? oh man…im lost. but from what i do understand…i like it! lol.
