If Ashley had known Spencer’s thoughts throughout the day—and perhaps in a way she did—she would have to agree with the assessment. She spent her day at home, working on her set for Saturday’s show and replying to Spencer’s “under-the-desk” text messages. She thanked her luck for her inheritance and her savings from years in advertising. It allowed her this free time to do what she loved and to experience the role of housewife. She secretly enjoyed her long, leisurely trip to the grocery store and her trip to pick up Spencer’s dry cleaning, though she would never admit it. Those mundane little details of everyday life had escaped her as a child. Her mother was anything but your typical, ordinary housewife and her father…well, he wasn’t exactly Mike Brady incarnate.
Nevertheless, by the time Spencer finally returned from work, Ashley was practically up to her elbows in pasta sauce. Her first attempt at dinner as a self-proclaimed housewife was going slightly awry.
“Ashley?”
“I’m in the kitchen!”
“Oh no,” Spencer said to herself, dropping her purse on the couch and shedding layers of clothing as she made her way to the kitchen.
Her bottom jaw dropped at what she saw, her hands grabbing the arch of the doorway to steady herself.
“I’m making you dinner,” Ashley said as she stood in front of the stove. The front of her white t-shirt was covered in spattered red sauce and it had somehow managed to dot her shoulder-length brown hair.
“It looks…good,” Spencer said with a laugh, using her thumb to wipe away a spot of red from the brunette’s chin.
“You don’t have to lie, ok? I know I’m not exactly the best cook.”
“Maybe not. But you try…and I love you for trying.”
“Thanks.”
Ashley looked away, but not before Spencer recognized the familiar embarrassment in her eyes.
“Hey, it’s not a big deal.”
“It is a big deal, Spence! It’s a big deal because I want to do this right, ok? I want you to walk through that door after work and…and know that you have a very capable…”
“Just stop right there. You are incredibly capable…at so many things…in so many ways. No one’s expecting you to be some kind of superwoman. I wouldn’t even want you to be alright? I want the Ashley I married, and the Ashley I married wasn’t some anal retentive soccer mom.”

*screams in an inaudible pitch* omg omg omg omg omg….ok…ive followed this story the entire time you’ve been writing it, and basically…IT NEEDS TO BE PUBLISHED…something damnit…lol you’re too good of a writer…honestly the story was absolutely amazing. Spence and Ash=perfection…especially when you’re the writer ;)PLZ I beg of you to write more….
You had me scared shitless there for a second. I thought perhaps you’d end it with Spencer saying, “I want a divorce!” Or something..lol Ahhhh, anyway, you did an amazing job. I loved reading every single one of your updates and if you ever return with another story you definitely have a loyal fan right here. =P
That was such a perfect ending. I don’t think it could have been any better. You had me worried for a minute there with Ashley’s hesitation due to her record contract but you definitely made up for it. I’m so going to miss this story. I think I’ll go read the whole thing again from the start. :)

finally this story is OVER! lol,jk.i really loved every chapter of this story it was one of the best one ive read.i loved how there were so many ups and downs but yet spencer and ashley stil waited for each other.
