“Definitely,” Ashley said, smiling widely.
“Perfect. I would plan on a thirty minute set, but if anything changes I’ll call you and fill you in.”
“That sounds amazing, Frank. Thank you so much.”
“Hey, thank you.”
“So I’ll see you this weekend?”
“I look forward to it.”
“Cool! Bye, Frank.”
Ashley hung up, immediately launching into a celebratory dance that Spencer walked in just in time to witness.
“Wow, someone’s happy to be home,” the blonde said, slipping her UCLA sweatshirt up and over her head.
“The show’s on and I’m in it. Frank just confirmed.”
“Ashley, that’s spectacular! Congratulations.”
“Spectacular is right, Mrs. Carlin. The only thing is I have to prepare a thirty-minute set by the weekend.”
“Well, that shouldn’t be an issue…you have tons of songs, right?”
“Yeah, I guess.”
“What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know,” Ashley says, shaking her head as her brown eyes locked squarely into Spencer’s blue ones, “I’m nervous.”
“You’re nervous?”
“Yeah…yeah, I guess. Actually, I know…I’m nervous. It’s a big show for me.”
Spencer nodded and took a seat next to the brunette. She chose her words carefully, “Ashley, I understand that this show is a big deal to you, and I never mean to sound like I’m trivializing how you feel or what you think…but…”
“But?”
“But you’re going to be great. That’s just the way it is. You were born to get up on stage and play your guitar and sing and be incredible.”
“And to be with you,” Ashley said, blushing slightly.
“Is it just my imagination or have you gotten increasingly more sappy ever since I slid that ring on your finger?”
“No, it’s true. I can’t help it though…you’re officially mine, so no matter how sappy I become, you can’t ever, ever leave me.”
“That’s so weird. When I married you I didn’t know that it was an irreversible commitment,” Spencer laughed.
Ashley nodded, “Oh yeah, totally irreversible.”
“Interesting, I just hope you know that goes both ways.”
“Of course.”
Spencer was a wreck. Her vacation had left her with a pile of papers to grade and twenty overly-stimulated students who pounded her with questions about her trip—not that she minded. She and Ashley had enjoyed an amazing vacation complete with an amazing hotel, an amazing view, and beyond amazing sex. Spencer obviously kept the last source of amazement to herself, though she did make a quick call to Ashley while her students were in their weekly art class, filling her in on all the details of what she wanted to do to her when she got home. They truly were, in every sense of the word, married. And the time that had passed between their first meeting and their wedding seemed like mere moments as opposed to years of back and forth.

great ending, sort of sad when spence was asking ashley what she wanted more a family or career…loved the ending and that they finally had a child…

*screams in an inaudible pitch* omg omg omg omg omg….ok…ive followed this story the entire time you’ve been writing it, and basically…IT NEEDS TO BE PUBLISHED…something damnit…lol you’re too good of a writer…honestly the story was absolutely amazing. Spence and Ash=perfection…especially when you’re the writer ;)PLZ I beg of you to write more….
You had me scared shitless there for a second. I thought perhaps you’d end it with Spencer saying, “I want a divorce!” Or something..lol Ahhhh, anyway, you did an amazing job. I loved reading every single one of your updates and if you ever return with another story you definitely have a loyal fan right here. =P
That was such a perfect ending. I don’t think it could have been any better. You had me worried for a minute there with Ashley’s hesitation due to her record contract but you definitely made up for it. I’m so going to miss this story. I think I’ll go read the whole thing again from the start. :)

finally this story is OVER! lol,jk.i really loved every chapter of this story it was one of the best one ive read.i loved how there were so many ups and downs but yet spencer and ashley stil waited for each other.
