“What? Spencer, don’t be ridiculous…you know I love having you here.” I smile, knowing she’s completely sincere.

                    “Really?” I ask playing dumb.

                    “Oh come on, you actually think I like being alone?” She asks.

                    “Maybe…I mean you are a loner and—“

                    “Hey,” She nudges me. “was a loner…you changed that…thanks by the way.” She smiles, I return it ten times brighter.

                    “My pleasure.” I place my hand on her forearm.

                    “But anyway, back to the subject at hand…you and Aiden.” Oh I forgot.

                    “Ugh.” I bury my head in my hands, until she pries them away.

                    “No, no, no I need the low down; c’mon…I’ll even hold your hand the whole time.” She suggests.

                    “Promise?” She takes my hand and intertwines our fingers, I smile.

                    “Promise.”

We sat there all night talking about mine and Aiden’s problems, and it seemed like nothing on the outside mattered. It was that night I realized I had to end things with Aiden.
