“Are you okay?” she quickly asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” She sat up, and I noticed her wince and grab her neck, due to the position she’d been sleeping in. “Hey, now we have something in common.” She laughed and looked at her watch. “What time is it?”
“4pm.”
“Of what day?”
“Thursday,” she told me. “Are you feeling any better?”
“Yup,” I told her, sugarcoating the truth just a little bit. “Where did all this stuff come from?” I motioned to the gifts across the room.
“Oh… well, the balloons are from my dad and Karen. The flowers with the cards are from Ben and Allie. Those flowers over there are from my mom. The ones by that balloon are from Clay… these ones are from me. And the Winnie the Pooh bear’s from me, too.”
“Aw thanks, babe.” I held my hand out and she scooted the chair a little closer. She took hold of my hand and leaned in so I could kiss her without having to move much.
“A lot of people have been calling for you… Jordan and the rest of the band, Allie, Ben, Aiden… I think a few of them might stop by in a couple days,” she said.
“A couple days? How long am I gonna be stuck here?”
“At least a week,” she revealed. Upset, I closed my eyes and shook my head. “Ash, you were really sick. We don’t want to take any chances.”
“This totally sucks,” I declared as I tried to stop myself from crying in self-pity. Spencer got up and sat on the edge of my bed, rubbing my cheek soothingly.
“Shh, don’t cry, baby. It’ll only be a little while, and then you’ll be back in action.” I nodded and sniffled a bit. My headache was starting to come back in full force.
“I just want to tear these IV’s out and get the fuck out of here,” I admitted.
“And if you do that, I might never talk to you again,” she said as I grinned.
“Liar.” She smiled and squeezed my hand.
“Yeah, but you better not do that,” she warned.
“Relax, even I’m not that stupid.” We were interrupted by a knock on the door, and a voice that could only belong to Mr. Carlin. He stepped in with Karen in tow, both of them with smiles on their faces.

I AM SOOO GLAD That you posted a chapter. I LOVE YOUR STORY!!!! It is sad that Ashley has to be like that to her dad, but he deserves it. I just hope that Ashley and SPencer will be okay and that Spencer will not start failing her classes at school when she moves in with Ashley. TTYL and I can’t wait to see what other ideas that you have for this story. Buh-bye!!!!!!!
Wow that was a great chapter. I`m shocked ashley dad came to see her. I`m glad ashley is doing alot better. And spencer dad is the best letting her move in with ashley. Cant wait for the next chapter. PMS.
Hey seeing how it says that u own Spencer and Ashley, would u pretty please mind sharring? I promise I will be a good gurl!!=), okay well anyways im glad that ashley was A OKAY!! gah u freakin scarred me!! SO happy ashley and spencer our moving in!!! yah!! Oh and Ashleys dad can step the flipper off!! so yeah good post!!! AWESOME!!

So, I definitely missed this story while I was away. I got back from my trip last night and was happy to see a new chapter. You know, I believe I saw this in the classified section of the newspaper the other day: Wanted – Father for young female. Must enjoy actually talking to and being engaged in said female’s life on a daily basis. Also, must not be jaded by fame. Raifes need not apply. I also recall reading in a medical journal that a speedy recovery from meningitis is possible via table clearing sex. On that note, you know I love this story and your writing Kozmic. Hook a sista’ up with another chapter when you can.
