"I heard you now own a cat." he said as he ushered the small brunette through the door.

"Oh! Yeah." Ashley laughed, "You don’t need to do that, though. I’m clean."

Arthur removed his arm from his face and smiled, "Well, good."

Ashley looked at the grandfather clock in the front hallway. It read 3:12. "Y’know, Mr. C, it’s only like three-fifteen. Isn’t it a little early to cook?"

"You’d think so," a voiced echoed from the staircase, causing Ashley to whip her head around and smile, "but according to him, it’s never too early to cook."

"Exactly," Arthur agreed smiling at the person waltzing over to them. "And I’m going to leave you guys alone and do just that." he made his way back into the kitchen.

"Hey, Ash." Spencer greeted with a sweet smile.

"Hey, yourself, Beautiful." Ashley answered back, mirroring Spencer’s smile. She made a point to whisper the last of her statement so that no one would overhear them.

In response, the blonde grabbed Ashley by the wrist, and started jogging back up the stairs.

"Whoa, Speedy, where we headed?" the brunette asked as she was tugged up the stairs and down the hallway.

Spencer didn’t reply, but pulled Ashley into her room, shutting the door. She took Ashley’s duffle from her shoulder and threw it to the ground. She, then, shoved the brunette against the door and pressed their lips together in a slightly desperate, passionate kiss.

Pulling back, only for much a much needed breath, Ashley licked her lips and smirked, "Wow, miss me, much?"

"Maybe just a little," Spencer teased, as she distanced herself from the brunette.

"Uh huh," Ashley retorted raising an eyebrow, "So, was that my surprise?"

"Psh, no." came the blonde’s simple reply.

"Oh? Then, what–"

"Not tellin’." Spencer cut her off, as she re-opened her door and sashayed out into the hall way.

"Aww, c’mon." Ashley said poking out her bottom lip in the form of a pout.

"Nuh uh." Spencer said as she lightly tapped Ashley on the side of her face. "Now, I’m bored, let’s go watch TV or something."

The brunette narrowed her eyes at the smirking blonde, "Tease," she muttered as she followed Spencer back down the stairs.

They made their way into the living room, and Ashley plopped down in the chair-and-a-half, as Spencer snatched the remote off of the coffee table. The blonde walked over to sit on the sofa, but quickly changed her path, and instead, sat in the small, empty space next to Ashley and slung her legs over the brunette’s.
