    Can't Go Back Now

“Ashley…you’re meeting with Spencer Carlin when we get back to LA” Pete told me and I just nodded then I turned back around and laid on my side just thinking if I really was still there to be with Spencer.

We got back to Los Angeles three days later. I woke up early in the morning, straightened my hair, put on some shorts and a fitted designer tshirt, threw on my heels then put on my sunglasses and drove to this studio place where Spencer worked.

“can I help you?” the receptionist asked me

“uh yeah…I have a meeting with Spencer Carlin” I told her and she typed some stuff into her computer

    “Ashley Davies?” she asked me

“in the flesh” I replied and she smiled at me. She was cute, actually really cute…brown eyes, hazel hair, tan…

“Spencer, I have your ten o’clock here” she phoned in

“okay send them back” she replied through the speaker

“okay you’re going to go down this hall, then through that door you’ll want to take the first door on the left and that’s her office” she told her

“thanks” I replied then I went in the back and when I got to her door I knocked on it

“come in” I heard her say then I opened it up and she was looking at some papers and going through stuff on her computer

“well look who it is” I said then she looked over at me “it’s The Spencer Carlin…”

“I should be saying the same thing” she said then I sat down across from her desk

    “so how are you?”

“busy…so, so busy” she told me

“yeah it looks like it…” I replied “…so did you want to catch up? Or are we all about business today?”

“I’d love to catch up, but I have a lot to do today so…” she started feeling bad

“no…no don’t worry about it, just tell me what’s up…give me the pitch Carlin” I said smiling at her and she shook her head laughing a little

“well…I’m really trying to get a solid job here versus being the intern that just landed a job cause it was open…so I need to make a new documentary, something new, and different” she told me
