Can't Go Back Now
When the film was over, everyone stood and clapped. The documentary ended up hitting the theatres and that’s how Spencer earned her fortune. Ashley ended up releasing another CD and she was in nearly every magazine every month.
Spencer and Ashley walked down the aisle together, they took a honey moon to Greece and fell in love more and more every single day that had passed. They even did a season on MTV where people consistently criticized their relationship saying all they do is fight, when that’s what the program chose to air.
Four years of marriage went by…they were best friends, which is more than some people can ask for in a relationship. Spencer’s parents grew accepting of her and Ashley then became their biggest supporters. They told Spencer that they wouldn’t want their daughter to be with anyone else. They approved of Ashley even though she was known of the Rock-Star Hollywood bad girl.
Ashley took a break from her music career while Spencer needed to take a break from work because she was pregnant with their first child. They of course used a sperm donor which people understood and they of course had people that only had negative things to say about it. Their daughter was born on October 27th, and they gave her the name Claire Marie Carlin Davies.
“you want to hold your daughter?” Spencer asked Ashley in a groggy voice as Ashley walked back into the hospital room where her wife was laying. Ashley smiled at her then took the little girl from Spencer’s arms
“you’re so little” Ashley whispered and a small smile formed on the little girls face and that day made Ashley’s life. At that moment she swore she wouldn’t end up like her parents, she would actually be there for her daughter…
Spencer went back to work, but she worked mainly in the office and worked on script writing. Ashley would stay at home while Spencer went to dinner with her Bosses. Ashley did have her occasional concerts and interviews, but she even took Claire to some of them with her.
One night, Ashley was laying on the couch holding little Claire who was resting on her chest slowly moving up and down from Ashley’s breathing. She woke up from feeling a kiss on her forehead “hey…” she said in a sleepy voice “…how was dinner?”
“same as always” Spencer replied
“what time is it?” Ashley asked her
“about eleven” Spencer told her wife picking up their daughter off her chest and Claire stretched in her little footy pajamas they had bought for her then Ashley got up and they took Claire to her nursery and tucked her in, each of them giving her a kiss on the forehead “you’re a good mom” Ashley told her wife in a whisper as she stood in the doorway watching her cover Claire up
“you’re not so bad yourself” Spencer replied and Ashley smiled at her “do I need to carry you to bed too?” she asked Ashley
“I think I can manage…” Ashley told her then they walked to their bedroom and Ashley pulled her shirt over her head and took off her sweat pants then got into bed and Spencer changed into a cami top with boy shorts and when she got into bed Ashley curled up next to her.
They had gone from being completely absent in each other’s lives, to being each other’s addictive drug. They proved that love does not alter when its alteration finds. If you asked either of them, they would both say “I fell in love with you the day I saw you again, and you smiled because you knew…” they had hard times, growing up in the eyes of everyone, but they got through it and they fought. They were both blessed to have found true love. It’s a relationship that will forever be remembered, regardless if they choose to stay in the spot light or not.
