Can't Go Back Now
“I think I need to come out” Spencer told her and Ashley’s eyes grew wide
“Spencer that’s a huge thing…regardless of the fact that you’re twenty three”
“that’s still substantially young…and I’m not living at home so my parents can’t kick me out”
“this is true” Ashley replied then Spencer had a ‘bright idea’
“what if…what if I do it on the video? The documentary? What if I come out as your girlfriend?”
“Spencer you say that now, but number one when it comes time you wont do it, and number two…coming out isn’t something for show, it’s a very private moment that you only have once” Ashley explained to her “I’m behind you no matter what you choose to do, I just hope it’s the right choice…just take your time, I mean who knows what will happen with us”
“this has nothing to do with us” Spencer told the other girls
“I’m just saying…” Ashley replied “…but anyways, tomorrow night…dress nice” Ashley told her
“I can’t wait to see you…” Spencer told her
“I know…me neither”
They didn’t talk for much longer. Spencer had work, and Ashley seemed to be spending nearly every minute at the studio. Neither of them had even thought if they had time for a relationship, but at that moment it didn’t seem to matter.
The next night, Ashley pulled up to Spencer’s apartment wearing a short black skirt, heels, and a top that had nearly no back to it. Ashley stood outside the passenger car door when Spencer came down wearing a cute little green dress and heels. At that moment, Ashley was nearly breathless “wow, you look…amazing” Ashley told the girl
“I should say the same thing” Spencer replied then Ashley held out a single red rose to the girl and a smile spread across her face then Spencer leaned into Ashley giving her a kiss. Ashley pulled away with a smile then opened up the passenger car door and they drove to a really nice and romantic restaurant where they laughed, then gave the cute glances towards each other. Both of them thought this could be it; it could be what they’ve always wanted and what they were secretly always looking for. At that moment it wasn’t about work, it wasn’t about getting your dream job, it was about love.
