A Secret Well Kept – (Chapter: Crush)

Three days, four hours, twenty six minutes, and twelve seconds. That’s how long it has been since I’ve seen or spoken to her. If I could have narrowed it down to milliseconds, I probably would have. I was doing everything in my power to keep myself amused. Keep myself busy, my room was clean for crying out loud. She still hadn’t called, text, or even breathe in the same vicinity as me for longer than we’ve ever been a part. I don’t know what hurt more; keeping all this to myself and watching her be with other people, or having her know how I feel and running for the hills.

Aiden had called once to talk about the date he thought went insanely well. Dumbass. I didn’t talk to him longer than a minute before I’d had enough. I did get another call however. A call that would explain my need to put on pants and actually leave the confines of my bedroom.

I heard the ringing, and jolted out of bed. I had made the mistake of throwing my phone across my room a little while ago. I figured if it was broken I wouldn’t be able to call her. That didn’t however stop me from wanting to call her.

I found my phone sitting upside down on a pile of my clothes, so much for broken.

"Hello" I say a little too enthusiastically hoping that maybe our strike is over.

"Hi, Ashley?" the voice answered. It wasn’t her. It wasn’t important.

"Yeah. Present who is this?" I questioned ready to rip them a new one. Getting me out of bed, and then not being Spencer. The nerve people had.

"Ally. Did I catch you at a bad time? I could call back later. Or never if you’ve changed your mind" she was rambling. I felt bad for making her nervous.

"Ally. No don’t call back later…..I mean I wanna talk now. Sorry not having a good day." I recovered. She didn’t deserve my bitchy mood. She was the only reason that made Friday mildly okay. I had thought about calling her myself, but I never followed through.

"Wanna talk about it? I’m a great listener."

    1. also…that was totally karma b/c honestly? what are the odds of aiden and spencer being at the same restaurant? but i do like Ally. She seems really cool, and understanding. Hopefully she stays that way. Not asking Ashley too many questions and upsetting her. I’m all for Spashley but at the moment Spencer is being dumb and is in denile so i’m all for Ashley and Ally (what ever the heck that hybrid name would be!…Alley (haha) or Ashlly (lol) wow…that doesn’t work at all…

    2. Glad some of you like Ally. I promise she will remain a good character. And I’m also glad some of you don’t like her, makes things interesting. CaliGirl9 were gonna have to work on the name merging for those too lol. And you can comment 2 million more times…I won’t mind hahaha

    3. So sorry, I didn’t comment earlier. I forgot. This was a great update. I also really like Ally but I’m dying for Spashley to get together. Spencer needs to get a clue and dump Aiden already. I mean it’s kind of obvious she has feeling for Ashley. Again great update. PMASAP!!!
