The Ride of Your Life (Chap 1)
Helena sat with her head resting against the cold frame of the window as the train rattled its way down the track. She watched as the raindrops raced their way down the glass, forming new teams as they collided with another drop and gaining momentum before dropping off the edge of the window. She couldn’t help but sigh as she thought about the destination of the train: The Peabody Art Institute.
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the train sat another young lady. Bette looked up from her book to gaze out the window. The rain on the window left trails of blended colour and as the colours of the trees rushed by in an autumn rainbow. She felt her heart flutter with excitement as she thought about what the year held for her. Finally she was beginning her career. She had been invited to develop various art showings at the one and only noteworthy institute within the area: The Peabody Art Institute.
Finally in yet another cabin of the train sat two good natured ladies who had grown enjoy each other’s company over the extent of the train ride. They laughed and joked with each other as they shared candies and magazines while the world rushed by them without a care. Each one too preoccupied with the stories being told by the other that neither one of them noticed the dreary weather looming outside their little cabin. Tina was excited to begin her final internship with the business department helping to promote the institute as a whole as well as represent many of the up and coming artists. Alice thrilled to be given a chance to develop her own skills as a writer as she took the position offered as a staff member for their paper. Both the ladies couldn’t help but share giggles as they thought of their adventures at their new place of employment: The Peabody Art Institute.
“So do you know where you will be staying when we arrive?” Alice asked tossing Tina the bag of candies.
“No, not a clue” Tina smiled with a shrug reaching into the bag of delicious treats.
“Wow, talk about being prepared” Alice chuckled as she popped another candy into her mouth.

i agree, it sounds like a fun train…as long as it won’t turn into Orient Express ;)
Cool start. I’m up for pretty much any begining that involves the TiBette ship. This should be interesting.
TIBETTE! YAY! I have a thing for trains (so old school romantic, aren’t they?), so bring it on! Loved the “Do you smell like vanilla?”!!!
More please. I love TiBette stories. Are Dana and Shane going to make an appearance? Thanks for the post.
Freaking great! Im loving it! PPS!
