A RED SUNSET
Chapter two: Don’t eat me.
I was up all night thinking about his eyes, not just his eyes, his clearly defined body, his strong hands, and the way our bodies moved. For once it was not only eyes that haunted me, but a whole person, the same person who had engulfed me into his amazing world. A world that felt surreal and parallel to mine. Haley had slept over and had constantly nagged me
“Jane, what was his name? Jane are you going out again. Jane where are you going? Jane Jane Jane.” I needed time to think about these questions myself let alone a little blond Maniac nagging about it. As much as I loved her and Juliet. I was getting sick thinking about his eyes, and how they had flashed red. It was horrible.
At 2:36AM exactly I crept to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I needed to think about my heart. The heart I had killed and scratched into pieces with my own hands, and a little help. I had gotten used to these kinds of thought moments in between each relationship. Then my cell phone rang and scared me half to hell in my reverie.
“Jesus Christ!” I exclaimed, then looked and saw it was Juliet. I answered, a little ticked off, and suddenly frightened about being alone and unprotected in my kitchen with the only witness sleeping.
“What the hell Juliet. Do you know its 2 in the morning?” I answered in such a lady-like fashion.
“You’re up aren’t you? So what’s the problem?” she answered laughing. She had a point. “So, never got a decent chance to attack you about that guy”
Usually this was the part where I hung up and went to bed, but I was starting to get irrationally scared I wasn’t alone, not meaning Haley, and I needed someone to talk to on a carefree level to calm me down. Juliet was good for that.
“Of course I should’ve known you just wouldn’t wait until morning” I said
“Nope.” She answered “If you cooperate there will be no blood” she said jokingly. I shivered references to blood and horror wasn’t good.
“O-okay. I’m scared” I said, trying to sound joking.
