You Told Me You Love Me Part 11

She exhaled again, content on the sight of the familiar front door. Whenever she felt discouraged or exhausted this was the place she would go. She would sit inside her car looking at the front door with her mind drifted off to some years ago where she had confessed her feelings to her best friend and smiled at the memory. This was the only thing that made her happy and kept her going throughout the years without Dana.

She leaned onto the headrest and sighed. How she wished that the door in front would open to reveal a happy brunette waving at her asking her to go in, but the house was always dark whenever she came by, and she hated the reality but this meant no body was inside. Dana was not in. She was not in for the four whole years. Alice looked down to her lap and thought deeply. At least she is still alive. At least she is happy. At least I could still hear from her through our friends. She convinced herself. She needed to.

Shane and Bette had asked her why she didn’t go with Dana the day she left for Missouri. How could she go with her when Dana remembered nothing about them? How could she go when there’s no love left in Dana’s eyes whenever she looked at her? That thought alone could make her cried for days. And she didn’t go because she didn’t want the brunette to love her just because she was always there for her. She didn’t want her to love her just because she had to. No. This was not charity run and she didn’t want the tennis player to pity her. She wanted the brunette to love her because she wanted to, not have to. The ball was in the tennis player’s court now, whether she came back or not it was up to her, although Alice did hope for her to show up one day. Either they just settled as friends or lovers she just wanted to see the brunette once more. Is that too much to ask? She shook her head and brought her gaze back to the house. What she saw scared the shit out of her. Holy shit! Her eyes opened wide at the sight in front. The living room was illuminated! Her heart beats was ten times faster. She blinked her eyes few times. Still the light was there. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. It’s ok Alice, its ok. She opened her eyes slowly and hopefully. But once she did her shoulders dropped. The light was not there. She let out a loud sigh. Ok so I imagined things again. Should get back to sleep, she muttered and pulled away, heading to her apartment, thinking at how silly she was to think that Dana was inside the house.

“Damn it Howie it trips again. What? Oh my god. How to fix the main switch?” A frustrated voice came out from the house after the blackout.

    1. Glad that Dana is back in LA. Now maybe, just maybe, she will remember Alice and her love for her, Alice is really not living, and want until Dana is back in her life for good,

    2. YAY!! I wasn’t expecting that art at the end. What a pleasant surprise. Glad Dana is back in town. Now let’s put poor Alice out of her misery and let her see Dana again. This was a great update. Can’t wait for the next one but I guess I’ll have to. Post soon

    3. I love the story. I am so excited that Dana is back in town. Now Alice just needs to walk up and be like hey um yeah its me Alice and its four am maybe this will bring back some memories. WAHOO. sorry i get alittle over the top some times.

    4. I am not sure how I helped, but, I am glad I was able to. Great update. Love how Yoda was able to help bridge the gap between Alice and Dana – and it pointed out the connection that remained after so many years. That really is emphasized by what you said about Alice risking her happiness for her friend’s. And Dana is back. Yay!! Here is to her being able to get her memories back and hopefully make new ones with Alice. Thanks so much, uhhuh!!
