“Yeah, but that’s still fucking horrible.”
“Of course it was. And yeah, I still have dreams about it too. I think a lot of us do. I don’t think you can be right in the head to watch somebody die and not have it fuck up your dreams.” She paused. “I tried to hide it for so long. Hell, I didn’t even let on to my command that I’m here. I guess it kinda made me afraid to open up to anybody, for some reason. I don’t know why I’m dumping this all on you. I mean, we don’t even know each other.”
“Yeah we do, Tasha. I mean, we understand this, and I don’t think most people would. But hey, if you ever wanna hang out, we can. I promise I’m not always so vocal about politics. Hell, half the time I don’t care about them at all.”
“Good, because if you keep bringing that shit up we’ll never be friends,” Tasha said with the first smile she’d given that day. Before Alice could respond, a doctor stepped out of his office and motioned Tasha inside. Before she walked in, she turned back to Alice. “Hey, I just wanted to let you know that you should go home and tell Dana that you’re the luckiest person on earth to have her around. If I could tell my friend that, I’d be the happiest person on the planet. I wish I could have before she died.” She stopped. “If you ever need to talk or anything, here’s my number,” she said softly, scribbling it down and handing it to Alice. “I hope we both start getting over this shit.”
“Me too,” Alice replied, taking the number and smiling at Tasha. “I’ll call you soon, okay?” Tasha just nodded and walked into the doctor’s office. Ten minutes later, her prescription in hand, Alice walked to the pharmacy lost in thought. Despite their varying views, Tasha had made a lot of sense, and Alice didn’t see any reason why they couldn’t be friends. She decided to take Tasha and her doctor’s advice, and went home to talk to Dana about how much she meant to her.

Dinner was nice, although Dana couldn’t help but notice that Alice was a lot more quiet than she usually was. After giving her a brief synopsis of the website meeting, the appointment and the rather strange encounter with Tasha, Alice hadn’t really said much all night. Instead, she was just looking hard at Dana every time Dana glanced over at her.

Bravo! I love seeing these two working things out and how much they truly love each other. Plus they get all the support from their best friends. I must say, the whole witnessing someone dying thing has to be the most traumatic experience. You really nailed it in Alice/Tasha conversaton. Your writing is so real. I often can picture the scenes unfold in my head. Thanks again for a wonderful chapter. Will Alice become really successful because of the chart and still drive the mini? Hope so. I am a little apprehensive about Tahsa though. Alice by nature is a caring person. I just hope that her love for Dana will keep her out of trouble. Can’t wait for your next post. btw, it’s water under bridge regarding “on the boards” last night. There is no need for apology. I was not even slightly displeased. Hope today is better for you. Can’t wait for you next post.
As always Muted you make me smile at all of your updates for our Danish. Sorry haven’t posted a comment in a while, but i have read them all and love your writing dearly. It always amazes me how i can see what you write in my mind. it is so much better then the show itself, i might not watch and just read your stuff instead :). ok, i’ll peak, only because of leisha though, keep up with the happy mood:) and the writing!

Once again my Sunday Danish fix, yay! Nice job in getting Tasha into the picture. Actually it’s kinda freakish how well you blend these characters into your story with close to actual storylines/dialogue from the show. I have to say your description of Dana’s eyes toward the end of the chapter just about melted my entire being, thanx!? Seriously, this story makes the actual show look like one big nightmare; I’m with Dana and Alice this has to be the reality…!
Babe you know I heart you and I heart this story, I really liked the was you got Tasha to open up a bit, I’m so loving my version of paws in this. I also loved the NC-17 well you knew I do anyway hehe.
I cannot express the excitement I felt when I saw an update. I haven’t quite had my danish fix besides watching my season 1 and 2 dvds. I’m so estatic about Dana mentioning kids with Alice. Too cute. Hope to see another soon.
