The thought boosted her from her reverie and got her heart pumping a little faster. She herself has seen more then just Angelica’s look. She had seen the glimmer in Tina’s eye. It had been there for just a moment. When Tina frantically looked back and forth between her and Angelica, it had shined back at Bette, the faint existence of a hope. It had been there for Bette to see. Tina wanted to stay! Granted this want was fleeting but it had been there. If only for just one moment she really wanted to stay. The revelation brought joy to Bette’s heart. Excited by the endless opportunities the glimpse of hope could mean, Bette jumped into motion.
Turning to the girls assembled before her with their long drawn out faces, “Guys I think I can get her back. What do you guys think? You with me?”
Every eye that looked at Bette had fear in it, Bette had finally gone off the deep end. But wanting to show support all in unison said “YES”
“Great we need to catch her at the airport. Does anyone know what airline she might be on?”
This rational question got all the girls looking at each other. It was left to Kit to speak first, “Ah … Bette honey, just what do you have in mind?
Bette not waiting for the others to get a move on was already half way across the room heading for her bedroom. She turned back at Kit’s question, a surprised look on her face. “Why get her back!”
While she stated this she looked to each of the girls. She could see the fear in their eyes and realized a little explanation was in order. “Look guys, I’ve waited for a second chance for as long as I’m willing to wait. I can always find a reason to let her get away again but I choose instead to look at the reasons why I need to go get her. When I strip away all the ugliness that surrounds what I did to her the fact that I still love her remains. I need to go after her and then I will do whatever it takes to get her back.”

awesome update! i like how that played out so it doesn’t seem like a spur of the moment thing. they both have to be sure about the future they want.

I’m liking this a lot. A bit far fetched but look at Sarah Palin and the whole story around her. No one would believe that it wasn’t scripted by Hollywood especially now that the mother-in-law to be was arrested for distribution of crystal meth. Who could make up such shyte?? LOL. :-) PPVS. Thx.

Oh oh oh goodness Jwet, I think you just blew a hole right through Tina’a bag of control. No matter how much she is not ready now she is going to have to change course one way or another. Come on, 16 years is a long time not to be a whole person and as for Angie in NY law will let her be emanccipated and she is a head strong little girl, so that could be a twist if Tina shuts down again. Please give Bette patients, I think she will need them. Thank you,Md
This is exactly what Tina wanted, for Bette to come and find her. Of course it was many years after the fact, but hey she is coming. You can feel Tina internal fight over her feelings towards Bette. On one hand the love is still there while on the other the pain of the betrayal is ever present.

Question: Does Angie really understand that Bette is her mom? I get the sense that it hasn’t sunk in yet and when it does, she may be a bit angry — I guess you need to add some drama, right?
