    “Bette…”
    “Hmm…” Bette replied, distracted.
    “Turn around…”

     

    Tina absent-mindedly ran her hand up and down Bette’s back, drifting in and out of the conversation that had turned more into a lecture session, as Bette continued to talk oblivious to Tina’s wavering attention and coaxed on by Tina stroking her back.

     

    “…precisely because I don’t think that a 100% attraction to the opposite sex is a necessary teleological component to identifying as straight and the same applies to being gay…”

     

    Tina smiled, amused at how much Bette loved to listen to herself. Most people would find it arrogant or obnoxious—Tina found it endearing. For her, it meant that Bette was so passionate about her work, so totally unswerving about her convictions, that she often forgot about her environment, like right now—an adult sex toy store.

     

    A sales representative approached them, mistaking them for a lesbian couple. No one could blame her—Bette and Tina stood closely huddled together in an adult store as Bette spoke animatedly and Tina lovingly stroked her back, smiling at her—to a passerby they seemed like a couple very much in love.

     

    “Excuse me…Hi, I am Brenda…Can I help you ladies with something today?” she asked Tina pleasantly as Bette came out of her lecture mode and realized that she was standing in Sin City with Tina.

     

    Without skipping a beat, Bette replied, “Yes, we need a sexy strapless lace bra, a leather garter belt thong set in her size, along with matching stockings, a pair of stilettos, a whip and maybe some blindfolds,” she finished, smiling sweetly at the sale representative as Tina gaped at her.

     

    “Bette!” Tina almost died of embarrassment. She wished the ground would open at her feet and she could be swallowed in.

     

    “Yes, baby, was there anything else that you needed?” she pulled Tina close, intertwining their hands and pressing a kiss to her forehead as Brenda proceeded to track down the different items.

     

    Hot and bothered yet warm, secure and comforted, Tina protested quietly. “Bette, I will look like a cheap whore in those clothes. No, not even clothes—accessories! There is no way I am wearing that for Eric!”

     

    “But you will wear them for me?” Bette teased, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

    3. OMG! OMG! OMG! Poor Tina! The incident between Bette and Alice was a little funny but Tina has got to be feeling humiliated. Eric is one dead man. I don’t even want to think about what Tina is going to do to him. Loving the story. Thanks so much for posting so many chapters all at once. It is an absolutely delightful read! PPS!

    6. OMG, I can’t believe you did that to our girl. Someone needs to rip the office phone from the wall. Bette was about ready to faint herself. Oh why didn’t someone stop her when she stepped into the houose, she didn’t deserve that. Eric the pantywaist fainted, serves him right if she just packs his bags and throws him out. While Alice is gone they just have to get their groove on. I don’t believe in stepping out on one’s husband or wife but in this instance both marriages are already over, someone just needs to move out so “our girls” can get their relationship started. Repeat after me, “shame, shame, shame,” for doing that to Tina. Oh, will she tell Bette about this? I can’t stand the suspense. Please Post very soon.

    9. Damn that Nadia interupting the beautiful kiss yet to be! I feel so terrible for Tina, but hope it is the final straw in ending the sham relationship between her and Eric.

    10. Wow, I love the build-up to this story! You’re really taking it somewhere, and I’m very interested and becoming impatient. lol. I would like to see these two go to each other for comfort and support and hold each other before it turns slowly into something else. I think their first time should be sensitive and slow. More realistic because that’s how great you’ve written this story so far. Thanks for posting!
