”Bette, coffee,” Nadia said, catching me off guard. I was standing in the nurse’s station and she slid the coffee to me.

”Um, thanks.”

”I just wanted to thank you for your treatment.”

”Yeah, it’s no worries. I am glad you’re doing better,” I said and one of my nurses saw how umcomfortable I was and spoke.

”Hey, doc, you have a patient still waiting on you in exam room two.”

”Thanks Cindi, well, Nadia it was a pleasure but I’ve got to go. I hope life treats you well.”

I walked away before she could even say anything and found my patient. I sighed relief, she was gone and I’d be free of her forever. I finished with my patient and told Dana and my nurses I was going on lunch with Tina. I went to my office to grab my purse when I stopped dead in my tracks.

”What are you doing in my office? Is that my lab coat?”

She got up and all I saw was high heels, legs, and cleavage coming out of my lab coat. I was floored, what the fuck is she thinking? She walked over to me, and she dropped the lab coat to the ground, she was completely naked. My heart stopped, this has gone too far.

”Nadia, what the fuck are you doing? Where the fuck are your clothes?”

”Nadia, no, I don’t know what’s going on but I’m married. I have a son and soon we’ll find out if my wife is pregnant. Why would I give that up for you,” I ask walking around her to get to my desk. I push the security button under my desk.

”Bette, you don’t need that baggage. All you need is me.”

”Dr. Kennard-Porter, oh my God,” the security guard said as he walked into my office.

”Of course, the police have been notified.”

”Thank you, I will be out for lunch, please give them my number should they need anything.”
