    “Come on Tina…ride em like a cowgirl!”

    "Baby…what you do to me…" Tina managed to raise a very weak arm, and with trembling fingers caress Bette’s cheek.

    Bette, looked into the glassy eyes of the woman she would love til the day she died, and couldn’t help the smug smile from widening across her face. "I take it you liked that." It was a statement, not a question, as Bette had no doubt that Tina loved what she was doing to her.

    "I do baby, I do." Tina let her forehead fall against Bette’s, her neck muscles giving out, not able to hold her head up any longer.
     
    "Do you want more?" Bette asked seductively, wanting to see just how much energy Tina had left in her.

    "Oh God," Tina groaned. "As much as I want to, I don’t think I can."

    "No?" Bette asked, her tone lighthearted, but her heart actually feeling like a lead balloon.

    "I do however, want to taste you again," Tina sighed as she smiled down at the woman she loved.

    "Hmmm…well, like you, as much as I want to, I don’t think I can," she lied.

    "But baby, it’s your turn. You have been taking my body places even I didn’t know existed, and I want to do the same to you. Let me love you…" Tina lowered her weakened hand in between Bette’s legs, eager to watch Bette’s reaction to her touch. But, before she could get her fingers into position, Bette closed her legs. "No Tina."

    Seeing the hurt in Tina’s eyes, she took hold of her hand and brought it to her lips. "We are both exhausted. Maybe it’s time for sleep."

    "Hmmm…sleep, yes please," Tina happily murmured.

    "Okay…" Bette gently helped Tina roll off of her lap, and then stood and tucked her into bed. Walking over to the chair where she had carefully laid her clothes earlier, she started getting dressed. Tina, who was luxuriating in the soft cotton sheets, more physically sated than she had been in the last two years, finally realized what Bette was doing.

    "Baby? Why are you getting dressed?"

    "Because, it is time for bed," Bette answered casually.

    "Exactly, so again…why are you getting dressed?" Tina repeated her question, clearly confused.
