Kit: You, too girl.

Helena departs from The Planet.  Her next destination, Bette and Tina’s.  Most everyone else is already there.  Bette, Tina, Angelica, Shane, Carmen, Jenny, Marina, Max, Tonya, Alice and Lara.  Soon, Leigh and Uta arrive and are greeted by Carmen.  Shortly thereafter, Helena arrives.  Family Night is in full swing this evening.

Carmen: Alright…everyone here?

Shane: Looks like it.  Alright!  Everyone….I uhh…need your attention.

Everyone stops and looks towards Shane.  Bette appears a little uneasy.  Neither she or Tina know the announcement beforehand either.

Shane: As you know…me and Carmen…we’ve uh…had our ups and downs lately.  

Shane looks at Carmen, feeling awkward about making announcements.

Carmen: Yes.  And…we’re together…as you can see…

Carmen laughs nervously for a second.

Carmen: But…we just want everyone here to know that…..

There’s a pause.

Carmen: ….We’re getting married!

Shane: And uh…this time we mean it.

There’s an initial silence.  Bette and Tina look at each other, before Tina looks back at the happy couple and smiles.  Jenny, Marina, Max, Tonya, Leigh, Uta and Alice all offer their congratulations, followed shortly by Tina who offers hers, then Bette who does so calmly.  Helena smiles at first, but something else catches her eye.  That something else being Lara, who has a mild grin on her face.  As Alice brings Lara with her over to Shane and Carmen to offer their congratulations, Helena finds herself intrigued by the exchanged facial expressions between Lara and Carmen, noticing that with Lara’s look of concern comes Carmen’s slowly dissipating smile.  Arms crossed, Helena senses danger.  She walks over with the rest of the group to offer her congratulations.

Alice: Wow…y’know…this is great, but kinda weird ’cause we were gonna….

Alice looks at Lara, who looks back at her with a calm grin.

Lara: We’re getting married, too.

Everyone stops.

Shane: …Holy shit.  Al?

Alice: Yeah, but uh….I don’t mean to steal you guys’ thunder or any-

Shane: Na, that’s great.  Congrats!

Shane offers her own congratulatory hug to Alice as Carmen does the same to Lara.

Carmen: Congratulations.

Lara: …Yeah.  Thanks.

A coolness is felt between the two as they seperate from one another.  Bette raises her eyebrows at both announcements, but Tina tries to defuse any awkwardness with a kiss and a smile.
