The Mythical Season 3.5 – “Episode 31: Into Your Arms”
Shane shrugs. Lacey sits down beside her.
Lacey: I heard you were working here now.
Shane: Yep…
Lacey: I’m trying to get a job, too. Figured I’d put in an application here, maybe be a cashier or something. Think they might hire me?
Shane: …Dunno.
Lacey can sense the shortness in Shane’s replies.
Lacey: Um…yeah. Good seeing you, too.
Lacey’s about to stand, but Shane places her right hand on Lacey’s left knee.
Shane: Wait….
Lacey decides to stay put for the moment.
Shane: Look…I’m sorry. I just got a lot of stuff on my mind.
Lacey: Problems or girl problems?
Shane: The latter…
Lacey: That Spanish girl you were on the bus with or someone else?
Shane: Her name’s Carmen. We’re goin’ through some stuff right now.
Lacey: Well….hopefully whatever the problem is you can get through it. Just nice to see you actually giving a relationship a try for once.
Shane: Yeah…failing at it, too.
Lacey: Nahhh…you’re just learning how the whole idea works. If she can put up with you through all the bad times, she’s yours.
Shane: No…I just hope I’m still hers.
Lacey smiles.
Lacey: It’s weird to hear you say that. But I’m glad you’re at least giving it a try.
Shane: Yeah…it’s all I can do.
Lacey nods.
Lacey: You’re capable of having a happy relationship, Shane. Besides, the world’s a crazy place I mean look at me. I’m in a happy relationship now…and if that can happen for me, I know it can for you. You just have to be patient.
Shane nods.
Shane: So does Carmen.
Lacey places her left hand on Shane’s right shoulder and she leans in closer to her.
Lacey: Just have faith. Because it always seems to be darkest before the dawn hits. That’s how it happened for me. Probably for you, too.
Shane: What’s her name?
Lacey: My girlfriend?
Shane: Yeah.
Lacey: Robin. She’s awesome, I’ve been with-
Shane: Wait….Robin?
Shane has a flashback to a day she’d rather forget ever happened. It’s the day Dana died, but before she found about her death. It’s not that particular moment that comes rushing back to her however. It’s another from earlier in the day when Carmen confessed to cheating on Shane with a girl by the name, "Robin."
Shane: Does Robin know Carmen?
Lacey: She might work with a Carmen, but I don’t think it’s the same one you’re with. Why?
Shane: Nothin’….just wonderin’.
Lacey: Oh. Well, I’m gonna look around and see who else is hiring. Good to see you again.
Lacey smiles as the two give each other a quick hug. Lacey then stands and begins to walk away.
Shane: I’ll put in a good word for you…
Lacey: Thanks.
Lacey walks off as Shane goes back to contemplating her relationship with Carmen. She wants to call her and see if she’s okay, but realizes it may not be the best of ideas. Plus she’s not in the mood to deal with Bette.
Bette meanwhile settles further into motherhood, holding and feeding her daughter proudly. Moments like these tend to make all the odd and melodramatic moments of life worth it to her. She knows she’s not alone in that feeling.

Great story Kace, really i love it.
I feels sad for Shane. But she sould feel guilty after what she did to Carmen. It´s great how Lara and Jenny are taking care about Carmen and Shane. I like that a lot.
