"We’re one…but we’re not the same."

There’s an overall feeling of uncertainty as to why Lara would suddenly show up late in the evening at Jenny’s yet here she is, walking past Max.  She turns the corner and heads down the hallway, past Helena and Tonya who have little to no time to react.  Marina steps out of the room just as Lara passes her by.  Marina stops and turns to see Lara standing face to face with Shane.  Jenny turns her attention away from Shane and feels the tension.  She backs away as Lara steps closer, looking only at Shane.  Shane has a look of utter dread.

Shane: What are you do-

Lara silences Shane with a vicious right backhand, sending Shane reeling to the bed behind and down to the floor.

Lara: You wanna hit my friend, huh!?!?!?

Shane checks her nose to make sure it’s still intact while everyone else is too stunned to move.  Shane gets to her feet, only to be shoved to the wall by an angry Lara.  Lara grabs a stunned Shane by the collar.  The fierceness in Lara’s eyes and voice are enough to send a sick chill down everyone’s spine.

Lara: It’s my fault, too….so punch me.  Punch me, too Shane!!!

Shane’s eyes widen and she shakes her head.  Lara throws her to the floor.  Shane turns on her back and Lara quickly mounts her, ready to fight.

Jenny: Lara, stop it!!!

Lara: PUNCH ME, GODDAMMIT!!!!!!

Jenny’s about to try her hand at seperating the two, but she’s brushed aside.  Lara lets out a roar as she raises her right fist ready to strike Shane below her.  Shane closes her eyes, ready to accept her punishment.  But before Lara can deliver the blow, her right arm is clutched from behind.  Lara tries, but is unable to break the hold.

Bette: That’ll be enough.

Lara pauses, still looking down at Shane.

Bette: Now I don’t know what the fuck is going on, but this stops right now.

Shane: No, Bette….let her.  

Lara’s at a point where her voice can no longer muster words.

Bette: Lara, calm down!!!  Shane…I’m not gonna let her hit you.

Lara: ….like hell…

With a surge of adrenaline, Lara lunges backward, sending Bette crashing against the wall.  Tina now rushes over to Bette, before things get any worse.
