    the L saga: Episode Twenty-One

“Hello Peggy, should I leave you two alone?”

Peggy shook her head. “No, you’re just fine where you are.” She took a seat next to Tina. “I have someone for you.”

    “Mummy please, not right now.”

“Are you going to listen to your mother for once?” Helena rolled her eyes and looked at her mother.

    “Okay, I’ll listen.”

Peggy smiled. “Thank you. I met a new filmmaker from the school out here, and she’s perfect. I’ve seen some of her stuff, and it’s great.”

Tina looked at Peggy. “What’s her name?”

“Zara Deville, she’s twenty-five years old and a very good looking girl.”

“Didn’t she do the documentary about lesbians and their sex lives?”

“As a matter of fact, she did.”

“I thought she did a great job on that.”

Peggy sighed. “I felt like it was a porno, but I was intrigued by her personality and her passion for the job.”

“I’ll give her a chance, I’ll meet her.” Helena nodded.

“All right, I’ll give her a call her and tell her to meet you here—lets say in a hour.”

    “I’ll be free.” Peggy smiled.

“I’ll see you tomorrow at the court house, and please darling—don’t be late.” Peggy walked out of the office.

“My mother is a piece of work. I can’t believe she’s trying to help me out. She never helped me out with anything.”

Tina looked at Helena. “I think she has with her money.” Helena shot her eyes at Tina. “Sorry if I hit a sour note, but it’s the truth.”

“Out,” Tina looked at Helena and got up from her chair. She walked out of the office and closed the door. Helena took her fingers up to her head like a gun and acted like she shot herself in the head.

Bette was in a middle of her class when Audrey came into the classroom. Bette stopped, and Audrey had the whole class looking at her.

“You’re late,” Bette crossed her arms.

“I’m sorry Dean Porter, but I had to stay in another class.”
