“Hi gorgeous you excited about spending the weekend with us”
“Hell yeah” Alice says without thinking.
“ALICE” Bette and Tina chorus
Alice looks sheepish but still has that glint in her eyes.
Chris and Shane notice the look on Alice as they come in.
“Ok what’s she done”
“Nothing” Bette greets Chris with a hug then kneels down an picks up Shane who looks like he’s just been crying.
“Hey kiddo what’s wrong”
Shane buries his head in Bette’s hair.
“Alice pulled my hair” he says sniffling.
“Aw baby, that’s not nice is it but you know that means she really likes you”
Shane pulls back and looks puzzled
“It does?”
“Yeah sure it does…your Nana T used to pull my hair all the time”
“She did?”
Tina joins Bette and Shane and takes Shane from Bette’s arms.
“I did and I was always sorry afterwards just like Alice is now….arn’t you Alice”
“I’m sorry Shaney waney” Alice sings
Tina kisses Shane’s forehead and puts him down.
“Thanks for having the twins this weekend I know one of them can be a handful at times” Chris pulls both his moms in for a quick hug. “Sorry but I have to love ya and leave ya our flight leaves in a couple of hours”
“Ok son…you just make sure you and Rachel have a good time you two deserve a break”
“Thanks you two are the best….we’ll be back Monday afternoon” Chris kisses Bette and then Tina’s cheek. “Ok I’ll be off then”. Chris is halfway down the path when he turns.
“Oh and Mama B…good luck with keeping Mama T and Alice in check…rather you than me”
Tina sticks out her tongue in response and closes the door.
“Have I told you that Lizzie has always been my favourite he’s too cheeky that one”
Bette is grinning when she takes Tina’s hand
“Come on we better find those two before Alice does some major damage”
“She’s not that bad”
“T.. if I didn’t know any better I would swear she was your clone and yeah she is that bad…..but completely adorable with it” Bette give Tina a quick peck. “Just like you”
Bette and Tina find the 6 year old twins in their bedroom, Alice and Shane are leafing through the book that Bette had retrieved from the attic earlier.

They are so frickin cute! I wanna read the next 5… And jikes, there’s not need for anyone to organize teams to go after skimmer… I’ve already taken care of that. I hired a team of international superstar freelance mercenaries with the money I found down the back of the sofa. Amazing what £3.26 will get one in these tough financial times… :P
