Tina and Angelica are doing the dishes.

Tina: He is a nice boy.

Angelica beamed.

Angelica: You like him, like, a little?

Tina: I like him, sweetie. He is smart to. And he loves art. I’m sure Bette likes him.

Angelica: I hope so…

Tina: He is very catholic, isn’t he?

Angelica: He is but he isn’t a stupid catholic, you know? He doesn’t believe some things, like people being gay, are good but he doesn’t insult them, disrespect them or push them to be someone else. He just thinks it’s not right.

Tina: Well, I respect him for that. Do you really care for him?

Angelica: Mom, I think I’m really in love with him and he is in love with me… and I’d like to… (She swallows) show to him how much I love him.

Tina dried her hands. She casually stated.

Tina: You want to have sex with him?

Angelica looked away.

Angelica: Yes.

Tina: Why are you telling me?

Angelica: Because I’m scared.

Tina stepped closer to her daughter.

Tina: Did he ask you to have sex with him?

Angelica: No, he didn’t.

Tina: He is catholic so how does he feel about premarital sex?

Angelica: I don’t think he is the type to wait until marriage. But Mom this may be a bad moment to talk about this stuff…

Tina interrupted her daughter.

Tina: It’s never a bad time to tell me something.

Angelica smiled at her mother.

Angelica: I am scared that I won’t please him…

Tina: Well, if he loves you, he will be pleased.

Angelica: And I’m scared that it might hurt.

Tina: Some women have pain others don’t…

Angelica: Did your first time hurt?

Tina: It hurted a little in the beginning but after a few seconds it went away.

Tina hugged her daughter. When the hug ended she began talking again.
