    She sat there for minutes, lost in her own thoughts when she heard someone whisper.

     

    “Are you going to sit there all night?”

     

    Bette’s head shot up

     

    “Do you want me to leave?” Bette asked

     

    “I guess you talked to Shane”

     

    “Yeah I guess you can say that” Bette chuckled

     

    “More like she talked I listened”

     

    “Gotta love her” Tina said

     

    “So, you didn’t answer my question are you going to sit there all night?”

     

    Bette was confused did Tina want her to leave?

     

    “Bette, come here” Tina lifted the bed sheet motioning to Bette that she should get in bed with her

     

    Bette got up kicked off her flip flops and took off the sweatshirt she had put on. She got into bed, not sure of what to do next, knowing that Tina slept in the nude she didn’t want to get too close, Bette knew she wouldn’t be able to control herself when it came to Tina.  Bette lay there in her back staring up at the ceiling,

     

    Tina got on her side and looked at Bette, she looked so lost.

     

    “T, why is it so hard for m to tell you how I feel?”

     

    Tina reached over and brought Bette closer, Bette slid into Tina a wrapped her arms around her, as she placed her face into Tina’s neck and took a deep breath, Bette loved being held by Tina, she always felt so loved so safe.

     

    “Bette I was so mad at you, so disappointed, I was even a bit scared but as I lay here thinking about a million things all at once, I realized I fell in love with Elizabeth Porter, all of her alpha-ness, insecurities, faults and all,…. everything, and I’m in it for the long haul, and I’m willing to wait for you to be able to let me completely into your heart, I know you love me I know it’s real, I don’t care what anyone says.  I’ll wait Bette just don’t shut me out, I just need a little, a little indication that your trying ok?”

    Bette had tears running down her face she couldn’t believe how lucky she was to have found Tina. Bette held Tina closer they held each other for a while longer when Bette pulled away got on her back and pulled Tina next to her so Tina’s head was resting on her shoulder, Bette took Tina’s hand and began playing with it.
