    Stars Collide: A Bette/Tina Story Chapter 12

“This is fantastic” I looked up and smiled at Bette. I was so lucky to have her and I was just beginning to realise that “How do you know the owner?” I chuckled at Bette’s question. Zun- Cho was also there when Bette left. He made me my favourite when I was felt really down. He turned into a brother more than a friend.

“He’s a friend of my father, they went to university together” The word father left my mouth with venom. I saw Bette raise an eyebrow and I smiled apologetically “Sorry my dad and I don’t get along very well” Bette smiled politely

“I know the feeling me and my dad, well you know what happened” I nodded sadly and put my hand on top of Bette’s and stroked it gently

“Yeah but you found a home with your sister” Bette smiled at the mention of Kit. I knew by that smile was had found a happy home with Kit

“Yeah I did and she accepted who I was” I smiled and nodded. The way Kit reacted to me showed that Kit loved Bette for who she was and that she didn’t judge or discriminate

“Yeah I noticed when she said me and you belong together” I knew everyone was right. We did belong together even if we didn’t want to admit it. I knew we were both scared of how intense our feelings were for each other and I wasn’t going to rush Bette into anything and I knew she wasn’t going to rush me into anything

“Do you truly believe we belong together” Bette’s question caught me short. Was she trying to tell me something?

“Do you?” I saw the reaction. It was surprising to say the least. Bette smiled loudly

“Yeah I do” the answer caught me short again. Was she trying to say what I thought she was trying to say? “I have no doubt we were meant to meet and…” Bette couldn’t find a way to finish her sentence. I didn’t know if I was ready to hear the phrase that was running through my mind “Have this connection between us” That ending only justified my suspicions. She was in love with me. My heart jumped. I wish she had just said what she was thinking
