    “You okay?” Tina nodded “I guess it’s just hard – I know it’s worse for you “ “I don’t think there is any point to a conversation about which one of us is hating this situation the most. Divorce damages people – I am sure in her own way Kate is not having the best

    Tina nodded “I guess it’s just hard – I know it’s worse for you “

    “I don’t think there is any point to a conversation about which one of us is hating this situation the most. Divorce damages people – I am sure in her own way Kate is not having the best time either. You should be aware of that – I know she is being impossible but everyone has reasons for doing what they do”

    “Things are going to have to improve before I feel at ease with her “Tina said making a start on her steak. “And I never thought I would say that about her”
    The food was delicious and even Bette said that she felt full but she would consider the offer of a desert in 15 minutes or so. Emma bought her and Tina a cocktail that was made up of gin, all spice and lemon grass among other ingredients – Bette said she would stick to her beer.

    “And you never know if Bette might have to make sure I get home safely “ Tina said sipping the cocktail and finding that it was delicious “I am in trouble – would you like a taste “
    “Not a gin fan to be honest “ Bette said “it reminds me of a neighbor of my grandfather who drank a lot of it and when I went to see him the house reeked of  the stuff – stifling heat and gin are a combination that really does make me feel sick”
    “I don’t think any smell makes me sick “
    “Mothballs “ Emma said quickly

    “What?”
    “Mothballs – you read The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe when you were six or seven and you got into the wardrobe at your grandparents house and you got trapped – the smell of mothballs made you really ill. I remember the car ride back to New York with you throwing up for two hours in a heat wave – the things you remember “
    “Hey – yeah -mind you – it might have been the mothballs or it might have been the tin of very ancient toffees I found in the wardrobe and ate”

    Bette and Emma laughed

    “It all comes down to Tina’s appetite “Bette said chuckling

      • Thanks for all the posts, I just caught up with them. Glad everything is going well for Tina and Bette with Emma. I would feel sorry for kate except that this is about the fourth time she has done this. Tina is right, she’d better stay with the tart because she will never work again as soon as the other partners and the ethics committee get ahold of what she has done. Great work. thanks.

    3. Great update. What a good week for us readers. Four in a row! Tina and Bette seemed to have a good time with Emma. There will be fallout from the nasty divorce do Tina and bette need to be strong with each other. Rosemary and Emma have secrets too. Let’s hope that stays hidden. PPS

    5. Thanks for the frequent updates. I am enjoying the story more and more. I was impressed at how well Bette and Emma were getting along. Tina is lucky to have their support.

    6. I can only repeat, what was a great four chapter in week.
      It was great, I like it.
      Bette and Emma is really starting to build a relationship with the past buried.
      Kate seems to lose everything. I am wondering what she will do?
      I can not wait for the next chapter, we do not know what will. the thrill kill, there are so many options :)

    12. Thanks Ally!! Well.. the ball is rolling and Emma will have her life back. Never expect Kate will be the bad guy, but what am I talking about? to recall that it’s your writing… Heck! What not to expect from our drama queen?! :-p ppvs… Oh.. Please help me to stroke the back of the ear of that handsome feline of yours :-)

    15. Some commented that they feel sorry for Kate, NOT. But I have a bad feeling that just when Bette and Emma are on the mend that Kate will reveal what happened with Rosie and the affair back in college. Drama Rama.
