    Tina looked shocked at her mother’s revelations and looked at her and then back at Bette who was looking serious.

    “Did you figure that out?” she asked her lover

    “Not 100% – I could read between the lines – I knew it was bad and I added that to how she flipped the other week when you said that Emma had put a new security system in. I thought it was an odd reaction at the time – when I read what I did – I put two and two together”

    Tina shook her head “This is weird” she stood up “I am just going to get a few minutes of fresh air”
    “That air isn’t just fresh “Bette said smiling

    “I know “she returning the smile “Just give me a few minutes eh” she looked at the two of them “Eh – will you two be okay?”

    Bette decided she needed to keep the atmosphere as light as possible “I am sure Emma is as good at repelling my self defence techniques are you are – in fact she is probably better “

    Tina grinned at the “in joke “and nodded “Just behave – both of you “she said and went out of the bar. Emma picked up her glass of wine

    “Self-defense techniques?”

    “We were fooling around and I tried to subdue her like I had seen our instructor do. One of us ended on the floor- and it wasn’t your daughter – tough bugger “Bette said with some pride

    “She is – and she is being tough over this – this isn’t easy for her”

    “No – no it isn’t. But one of you is treating her like a grown up and one of you isn’t. She feels pulled in two directions but Kate “Bette shook her head “I am really shocked “

    “Maybe she took too many ruthless lessons from me. – is Tina going to be okay?”

    Bette nodded “I will give her a few minutes – I had a feeling what that document meant. So what you said just now – wasn’t the greatest shock. It was to Tina – and I think it’s destroyed a lot of trust between her and Kate”

      • Thanks for all the posts, I just caught up with them. Glad everything is going well for Tina and Bette with Emma. I would feel sorry for kate except that this is about the fourth time she has done this. Tina is right, she’d better stay with the tart because she will never work again as soon as the other partners and the ethics committee get ahold of what she has done. Great work. thanks.

    3. Great update. What a good week for us readers. Four in a row! Tina and Bette seemed to have a good time with Emma. There will be fallout from the nasty divorce do Tina and bette need to be strong with each other. Rosemary and Emma have secrets too. Let’s hope that stays hidden. PPS

    6. I can only repeat, what was a great four chapter in week.
      It was great, I like it.
      Bette and Emma is really starting to build a relationship with the past buried.
      Kate seems to lose everything. I am wondering what she will do?
      I can not wait for the next chapter, we do not know what will. the thrill kill, there are so many options :)

    15. Some commented that they feel sorry for Kate, NOT. But I have a bad feeling that just when Bette and Emma are on the mend that Kate will reveal what happened with Rosie and the affair back in college. Drama Rama.
