Later that afternoon, Shane and Molly arrive at The Planet to meet up with the framily for drinks. Arriving a little early, they sit down at a table in the corner and begin discussing their plans for their Hawaiian surfing vacation. Pulling out the travel guide from her bag, Molly asks, “So which island to you want to go to?”“I don’t care. Whichever one looks the best to you,” Shane says, grinning. “Come on!” Molly says as she grabs Shane’s chair and pulls it over closer to her so they can both see the guide. “Oahu or Maui?”“I told you, whichever one you want.”Aggravated, Molly says, “Fine. I’ll just plan the whole fucking thing myself.” She slams the book closed and shoves it into her bag. “And then you can’t complain if you don’t like it.”Shane is completely unphased by Molly’s outburst and just sits there smiling.Shane’s lack of response is getting Molly even more and more frustrated. She fiddles around with some stuff in her bag, moves the items on the table, takes a few long gulps from her bottle of beer and then finally leans back against the back of her chair and asks, “Why won’t you help me with this?”Shane laughs and says, “Ok, fine. Tell me where you want to go.” She reaches across the table to grab Molly’s hand which is angrily picking apart a napkin.“North Shore. Oahu.”“Oh yeah?”“Yeah. What about you?”Shane smiles, reaches into her jacket pocket and pulls out two plane tickets. Handing them over to Molly, she asks, “And where are these tickets to?” Smiling, Molly opens them up and squeals upon finding two tickets to Oahu. “We leave Saturday.”

Molly looks up from the tickets, shocked, and asks, “Saturday?? This Saturday? As in two days from today?”

“Yup. What’s wrong with Saturday?” Shane takes a swig from her beer bottle and then adds, “Oh yeah and Happy Birthday.”

Molly smacks Shane’s arm with the tickets and then grabs her face and kisses her. “This is for my birthday?”

“Yeah. I wanted to do something really special for you.”

Molly smiles from ear to ear. She leans into Shane and they kiss again.

“Fuck, man. Are you two at it again?!” Alice groans as she and Tasha come to join them.
