“You’re a natural at this.” Bette says.

After half an hour, he was beginning to get quite used to the water and he was paddling around the water on his own.

“Ms. Bette? Can I jump in?” He asks.

“Are you sure you’re ready for that?” Bette asks a little concerned.

“Yes. It’s fun. I’ve seen it on TV.” He says.

“Okay. Come here.” She says. He swims towards her and into her arms. She lifts him up on the deck. “You’ll run and jump here. I’ll stand right here.” Bette says.

“Okay. Are you ready?” He asks.

“Yes, come on.” Bette says.

He starts running and then jumping in with a big splash. The water bolts over Bette who now is completely soaked. Evan comes up and looks at Bette and starts laughing.

“Splash.” He says still laughing.

“Yeah, you got me.” Bette says and smiles as she dries the water from her eyes.

“Again?” Evan asks.

“Sure. Get over here.” Bette says and again lifts him up. He runs over to the door of the house and sees Tina sitting at the kitchen table, reading. He knocks on the window door. She looks up and smiles. She stands and walks over and opens the door.

“Hey, sweetie, having fun?” She asks.

“Yes. Will you see me jumping in and splashing Ms. Bette?” He asks giggling.

“Sure.” Tina says and walks closer to the pool.

“T, don’t encourage him, please.” Bette pleads.

“I’m not. I’m just supporting him.” Tina says with a grin.

“Yeah, yeah.” Bette says.

“Okay, are you ready?” Evan asks.

“Yes, come on.” Bette says and smiles weakly to Tina.

He runs and then jumps, again sending a bolt of water over Bette.

Tina laughs and claps her hands. Evan comes up for air and looks at Bette, who again is soaked.

“Good Evan. You’re a great splasher.” Tina says.

He’s eyes light up again.

“Can I do it one more time?” He asks, looking over at a really wet Bette.

“Sure. Why not. It’s not like I’m dry over here…” Bette says and smiles. She sees Tina grinning. Tina helps Evan up and again he takes off, jumping into the water. And the scenario is played all over again. He’s having so much fun. Tina sees him, and is starting to care deeply for him. She also sees something in Bette’s eyes. Their eyes meet and both knows what the other’s thinking.

“This was the last Evan. It’s time to get up.” Tina says and smiles.

“One more, please?” Evan asks. “Please?” He asks again.

“One more time, but then it’s up.” Tina says. She helps him up so he can jump in one more time.

“Ms. Bette, are you ready?” Evan asks, giggling.

“Yes, come on.”  Bette says and lets out a little laugh.

Again he splashes her down, soaking the small spots that had dried from last time.

“Okay, Evan, it’s time to get up.” Tina says and stands by the pool side, ready for him with a towel. He paddles over to her and she lifts him up. Bette gets out from the stairs. She takes her towel and put it around her. Tina takes off the floaty’s and dries Evan, before taking him inside to shower and change.

A while later, Evan is down for the night. Angelica got a little better, her fever seemed to be going down. But to be sure, they had her in with them tonight.

Both decided to go early to bed. Maybe talk a little before going to sleep.

They both took a shower and then went to bed. Tina snuggled close to Bette, and Bette opened up her arms.

“Have you found an apartment or house in London yet?” Tina asks.

“No. I’m on the lookout for the perfect one. I know Peggy has one ready for me, but I don’t know about that one.” Bette says.

“Okay.” Tina says and leans in for a soft kiss on the lips.

They make small talk for another hour, about the move, how life in London’s gonna be. What the two months apart will be like. How will Angelica behave without her mama. Then they fell asleep.
