Alice:   I will tell them that you are her cousin and that you are going to take care of all the expenses and that you are going to look after her as well when she is ready to leave the hospital.  How is that????  Are you cool with it???  I mean could you pay the hospital expenses????

Tina raised her eyebrows.  This Al must be joking.  Who is going to believe that???  And why she was left for dead on my ranch?  And is a cousin relevant or related enough???  Oh shit, shit, damn.  Well I don’t care even if she wanted me to be her wife I would say yes, as long as I could be informed and updated on her situation.  But she still has to answer Al.

Tina:  Yah I am cool with it, I mean the financial side is fine and the last bit is ok too but being her cousin????? I don’t know!!!!!

Alice:   Well just stick with me; I am sure they will not ask too many questions especially if you are paying.  Believe me, just between you and me ha, they want someone to pick up the bill and they could careless with the formality when it comes to it.

Tina:  Only if you are sure I mean I would do anything ……..

Alice:   I know you would……

Al smiled a shy smile at Tina and looked at Bette checking up on her again.

This is one hell of a lucky lady.  A complete stranger and yet someone wants to look after her and know about her so badly, it really amazes me the kindness and the manifest of love people show for each others.  It baffles me.

Al thought to herself.  My God.

Alice:   Like I said don’t tell much, besides you are injured as well so they won’t be harassing you, I think.  So keep it cool, ok.

Tina shook her head for approval.

James:  Ok Al.  Here we go.

James opened the ambulance’s door and jumped in to help Alice unload the trolley carrying Bette.

Alice:   Thank you James.  Can we hurry please?

James:  Sure thing Al.  The medical team is waiting I have called ahead and informed them of the situation.  What about her in there?
