    Lets talk

    Tina walked through the double doors and watched Bette carefully as Bette took a seat on the couch. She didnt seem too upset, instead she seemed something different. almost bummed somehow. Tina went and sat down next to Bette and tried to look her in the eye but Bette didnt want to meet her gaze. Tina put her finger under Bettes chin and lifted her so they could look into each others eyes. Tina opened her mouth to speak but Bette beat her to it.

    Look TI dont know whats going onbut whatever it is I just want to fix itif I did something then lets just talk about itwe can fix things T

    Tina put her finger over Bettes lips to silence her. Bette had jumped way ahead of what Tina wanted to talk about. Tina kissed Bette on the lips again and ran her hand over Bettes cheek. She gave her one last reassuring look before speaking.

    Babe calm downnothing is wrong okay? What I wanted to talk about was keeping things that way. We never got to talk about the fight a few weeks ago and I dont want to let it just go like thatI think there are some things we need to discuss. Granted some things may have been said in the heat of the moment but I think they may have been warranted comments. So I just wanted to talk about things to make sure everything is okay

    Bettes face went from worried to relieved to confused in a microsecond and Tina wasnt sure how to react to that. She waited for Bette to say something but when she didnt she felt like she needed to keep talking to explain herself.

    Babe Im not saying this because I want to pick another fight or criticize or analyze anythingIm just trying to tell you how I feel about some things

    Wellokay like how you said that I dont feel that I appreciate youI do Betteits just that sometimes I dont knowI guess maybe I forget to say I appreciate things you dobut there isnt anything that you dont do that goes unnoticed

    Tina knew she was rambling but she didnt know what to say to ease the obvious tension but she wanted to alleviate Betttes worries. Bette just looked at Tina for a few seconds before finally saying something.

      There’s a time to talk and a time to shut up! Tina, you got your times mixed up.
      Thanks for another chapter in this long-running story. They started out so well but it seems like things went downhill after they moved in together. Wait- Bette always had a monstrous temper – beyond bearing. Maybe moving in together wasn’t such a good idea. I still remember their reunion at the hotel in NYC – that was one choice chapter. Maybe they can recapture that thrill!

    7. You were one of the first authors I read on this site and you hooked me immediately. Every chapter from you is a joy and this was no exception. I have to agree with Techgal on this, Tina should have let the night go as Bette planned. But of course now you can have them making up.
